did you file the judgements as an abstract?

abstract?

what does that mean...

Our lawyer said that we are on a long list of "to be paid" once they liquidate their assets, that can take years...

if you have a signed judgement it can be filed as an abstract of judgement if the debtor owns real property. When he goes to sell his home or rrefinance it, it is attached to the property and it has to be paid or a release be filed before the mortgager will allow the transaction to go through.

lol,
I would have known what you were talking about if you would have said a lien instead of abstract legal eagle.... :)

but yes, there is a lien.. I believe everyone else he owes filed theirs too...

we are on a LONG ass list of people and companies he owes...

If I remember one store was in spring, one in tomball, he owned the corduroy store in willobrook..

I think there is one more store in houston...

The one in spring has closed... I drive by it all the time when I go grocery shopping...

The store was Lifestyle Futons, his name I have to look up.

I can look into some information if you are wanting to know what counties he has real property in (his own home included) if you are curious about how long the line ahead of you is. Can't do much more than that. email me marilyn . gerber @ gmail. com
