People Magazine
Exclusive Lambert-Allen Wedding Details!
People Magazine was the only media outlet to have access to the wedding of actor Adam Lambert and non-profit executive Kris Allen. With exclusive photos and interviews, we get you behind-the-scenes to the wedding of the year.

--

After months of speculation and weeks of paparazzi running around all over Southern California, from San Diego to Santa Barbara, the high-anticipated Lambert-Allen wedding took place at The Norconian, a 1920’s era resort-turned Naval hospital, about an hour outside Los Angeles.

The non-denominational, intimate ceremony took place about 5:30PM, and was timed so that the wedding kiss occurred as the sun set over the mountains, making for a spectacular background as Lambert and Allen turned to smile at their family and friends. As fans know, Lambert and Allen met on the set of Lambert’s film Not Today, Not Tomorrow three years ago. After a fairly unique courtship, which is the only word that can describe dating the paparazzi darling Lambert while in Hollywood, the two quietly got engaged last year.

Why October for the wedding? Lambert stated that it was a month that fell in the middle of their birthdays and would give them something to celebrate in between and be a prelude to the holidays.

Now for some details: The entire wedding party, groomsmen and best-men, were outfitted by Tom Ford. Wedding bands were designed and made by David Yurman, after approval from Lambert and Allen. Catering was provided by Chef Michael Voltaggio of Ink in West Hollywood, while dessert and the non-traditional wedding cake were created by Hot Cakes in Culver City. Each guest received a appreciate gift bags that included a massage package from Exhale, dinner for two at Sotto, Ink or Comme Ca, as well as time pieces from David Yurman Jewelry.

Some of the Celebrities in attendance included: Nury Lavendar, Anoop Desai, Matt Damon, Ewan McGregor, Neil Patrick Harris, Matt Bomer, Anne Hathaway and Nicole Blonsky.

In a separate Q & A session hours before the ceremony, Lambert tells us that he and Allen found the venue a few months back after an impromptu weekend birthday trip to Big Bear Resort. Allen tells us how it all came to be.

PM: How did you end up picking The Norconian? It’s not what one would typically expect from the man dubbed “The Glambert.”
AL: [laughs] Which is why I’m glad we picked this space. But, long story short, Kris got on the wrong freeway, and it was around lunch, and we were hungry, so we drove around a bit and saw this gorgeous building. Feeling adventurous, we decided to check it out before stopping for food. It’s a gorgeous space, a little run-down, but the curator and director were more than happy to show us around. Kris and I just looked at each other and knew this was where we should have the wedding.

PM: We heard you spent a lot of money for the renovations.
KA: [shaking head] We made a contribution to the foundation, but the spend was minimal. There were a ton of volunteers that helped us out and transform the place into the amazing thing you see now. I’m actually surprised we got away with keeping the location, time and place under wraps with so many people involved.

PM: It looks to be a small ceremony. Was that done on purpose? How do your friends and family feel about driving out so far?
AL: We wanted it to be a private ceremony with just close friends and family. That way it would be purposely intimate and romantic, and we wouldn’t have to be spending time just trying to make face-time with people. Everyone we love and have rooted for us are here. And, no, they had no problem getting here. No complaints…at least none that I’ve heard!

PM: Why the secrecy and the false information?
KA: [laughing] It just got to the point of ridiculous. I mean, I get why people would be interested, but it’s a private thing at the end of the day, yeah? Eventually, our friends thought it would be funny to make a game out of it. See what leads got chased around, what “news” or leaks got reported.

PM: To get this out of the way, you and Kris agreed to an exclusive with People. We are paying for the rights to the wedding photos, which will be donated between The Point Foundation where Kris works and Give! It!Up! which is the charity you founded years ago. Also, all proceeds from the sale of the issue will be given to these two charities.
AL: [nods] Yeah. Kris and I actually had a fight over this, but he realized people would be curious, and we wouldn’t stop getting hounded until something gave. I’d rather have control of how these private photos will be distributed. I didn’t want our family and friends to be harassed if they didn’t have to be. There was an amazing offer on the table, and we knew it was what we should do.

The crash from the kitchen made Kris scramble to close the magazine and stuff it into the drawer of the coffee table. Breathing out, he slowed his heart rate and called out, “Monique, are you okay?”

“Fine!” she shouted back. “Just clumsy.”

Kris heard the shuffling of feet and looked to the doorway.

Monique stood there, hands on her hips, “Don’t you have a meeting with Robert and Joyce this evening? Why aren’t you getting ready? The car will be here in about half an hour.”

Pushing himself off the couch, Kris held up his hands, “Going, going. I just need to change. It won’t take me that long.”

“Uh-huh.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

She pointed up the stairs, “Go.”

“Yes, ma’am,” Kris answered, smiling. “Uh, Adam’s got…”

“He’s doing some dubbing at the studio, should be home around eight. If he forgot, I’ll tell him where you are.”

Nodding, Kris brushed past her and headed up the stairs. “Yell when the car gets here?”

Monique snorted, “Well, duh.”

**

“Tatiana!”

“She has that project due for class and the group session is tonight, so had to leave early,” Monique answered, running into the kitchen. “You’re stuck with me for a bit longer.”

Adam smiled, “Yay!”

Monique scowled, “How you’re an actor when you can’t even fake a smile is beyond me.”

“Aww, don’t be like that,” Adam cooed, giving her a one-arm hug. “You know I adore you.”

Sticking her tongue out at him, Monique squeezed him back. “Okay, before I take off, this is the list of food you need to order. Brad came by and dropped off a package that he says you have to open as soon as possible. Your schedule is printed up and on your desk, along with your plane tickets, blah blah for your trip next week.” She quirked her lips, “Brad said that he and Cass will be taking care of your packing because you looked ridiculous in Europe.”

Adam laughed and rolled his eyes, “Did he now?”

Monique nodded, “Yup.”

“Where’s Kris?”

Sighing and rolling her eyes, “I owe Tatiana ten bucks now.”

“What?”

“I said you’d remember, especially since we told you this morning,” Monique said tiredly. “But, Tatiana said you wouldn’t and we bet on it. You’d think I’d really know better by now.”

“Um, sorry?”

Waving her hand, she answered as she pinned the grocery list to the refrigerator with a magnet, “I’ll buy her lunch this week.”

“Well?” Adam prodded.

“He had that meeting with Joyce and Robert? Seeing about heading back into work?”

Adam stiffened a little, then pulled out a teabag from the cabinet, “Oh yeah, that’s right. Must be getting old.”

“Well, of course you are,” Monique answered blithely. “But, I’ll be here to take care of you.”

“Awww.”

“At least until I can figure out how to embezzle all your money, then put you into an old farts home,” she retorted. “Cuz, I am not changing adult diapers. I don’t get paid enough for that shit.”

“Jesus, Monique!” Adam laughed, doubled over, nearly hitting his head on the counter, “Go home, you brat.”

With a giggle, Monique waved as she left the kitchen. “Dinner’s in the oven, just heat and eat! Don’t burn yourself! Later, boss man!”

“Go!”

Adam righted himself as he controlled his breathing and set the kettle on the stove. He checked the oven and turned the heat up higher. Pulling out his phone, he debated calling Brad back, but changed his mind as the whistle shook him out of his thoughts.

After preparing his tea, Adam shut off the oven and put the plate on the stove. He headed upstairs with the warm mug in his hand. Sitting in the lounge chair in his room, he stared out the window. He’d be leaving again in a week for some re-shoots in New York. Leaning his head back, he tried to think of what he was supposed to do about Kris.

He’d wait. He knew he would no matter what. But, it was just the little hints that were igniting the flares of hope in his gut and heart. It took everything he had not to just touch him all the time, like he’s always done in the past. If he was honest with himself, it was killing him, not having the opportunities to be intimate, the hugging, the soft caresses to the face, having Kris’s scent all over him…in him, before falling asleep.

Even after a quick shower, Adam was still feeling morose, so he went downstairs. Making another cup of tea, he went to the den and pulled out the video he’d made himself not watch as soon as this nightmare started. It made him miss what he had, but tonight, he needed to see Kris’s face-when Kris was actually in love with Adam.

**

Kris waved to Eddy and headed towards the backyard. Adam’s room was dark, which meant he was asleep. For some reason, this disappointed him. It wasn’t that late. Frowning, Kris opened the back door and went inside quietly. As he was setting the alarm, he heard laughter coming from the den.

Tossing his keys onto the counter and slipping out of his jacket, he toed off his shoes as he headed towards the den to see who else was in the house with Adam. There wasn’t another car in the driveway, but that didn’t mean anything when it came to Adam’s friends. Kicking his shoes underneath the stairs, he tiptoed to the den, not wanting to disturb Adam and his guest.

He stopped at the doorway and stared. Adam was asleep on the oversized couch, one of Kris’s sweatshirts clutched in his arm, head on a pillow clearly from Kris’s bed from the guestroom. He walked gently into the room, but turned his head at the sound of laughter.

The television was on and Kris stopped. Nury was speaking to the camera.

“Adam, darling,” Nury slurred. Kris snorted quietly at the sight of Nury, beautiful as always in a light gray dress and with a flute of champagne in her hand. “I can’t believe you and Kris finally did it. I am so incredibly happy for you. We’ve known each other…for…for…forever and a day. We pretty much grew up together in this shit town. Wait…where was I? Oh yes, this amazing little wedding, about damn time… And, I need to say that I’ve never seen you happier than when you’re with your little cutie pie. Kris watched, fascinated as she finished her champagne and snagged another off a passing tray while motioning with her hand for the camera man to keep rolling. “And, Kris, cutie little thing, you. You’ve made my Adam so happy and giddy and so happy. I wish nothing but the best for both of you. You give me hope that love does exist.”

The corners of Kris’s mouth turned, as if he couldn’t help but smile. He headed towards the couch and gripped the afghan to put over Adam’s sleeping form. As he bent down, he saw the trail of dried tears on Adam’s face.

“Holy shit, Kris,” Kris looked back at the television at Cale’s voice. Cale’s smiling face was framed in the screen. The camera pulled back to show him in the middle of Tommy and Brad. “You got fucking married!” Cale laughed. “To Adam fucking Lambert, of all people. Oh my God.” The camera shook and Cale scowled. He reached out to the camera, “Stop laughing, Matt. Don’t be an asshole.”

Brad grinned and giggled, “Matt, being drunk while filming is no way to show Adam or even Anoop what an amazing videographer you are. They won’t take you seriously if you can’t even do this shit correctly.” Cale pulled the camera lens back to focus on them. “Seriously, dude, let us talk,” he said smile back on his face. “Okay, Kris, Adam. Congratulations. It was a long-time coming…” Tommy guffawed and interrupted, “Oh, I’m sure there was a lot of coming between them and probably right now, since they disappeared somewhere.”

Kris groaned and brought his hands to his head. He was glad he was alone as he could feel the heat on his face.

“Don’t be crude, Tommy dear,” Brad admonished and smiled brilliantly into the camera. “Anyhoo, what Cale was saying and what we all want to say is…” a pause. “Congratulations!” the three of them shouted.

Matt’s face appeared as he gave the camera a thumbs-up before the camera faded to black.

After using the remote to shut off the television, Kris found his hand reaching out to touch Adam’s face. He held his breath as Adam moved into his caress, cheek finding warmth. Adam sighed softly as Kris rubbed his thumb tenderly over the dried tear tracks. Biting his lip, Kris got up and rushed upstairs. After a quick shower and throwing on sleep pants and a t-shirt, he flew down the stairs and paused at the den’s entryway. Taking a few deep breaths, he walked to the couch and lifted the afghan as he lay down next to Adam.

The response was swift and automatic, Adam shifting in his sleep to make room, arm swinging over Kris’s stomach, gripping his hand, fingers tightening. Kris breathed out and pulled their hands to his chest; he found comfort in the ways their bodies fit and closed his eyes, letting Adam’s breathing wash over him.

**

Adam tried to move and find the source of the incessant whisper that woke him.

“Shhh, come on Monique, let’s go.”

“But, I wanna see!”

“Nothing to see, they’re still sleeping!”

“Why aren’t you…oh. Awww. They’re so cute like that.”

“Shhh…Come on, kitchen.”

“Man cave? The TV in there…”

“Eww, no. The housekeeper will barely go in there.”

Adam grinned as he heard the whispers fade away. Wait… they’re still sleeping? He started to move, but quickly realized his left hand was otherwise occupied and his right arm was pinned to the couch. He turned his head and got a mouthful of soft, brown hair. Carefully moving his mouth away and blowing short breaths to get the excess hairs off his lip, he twisted his head into Kris’s neck and squeezed body tighter, inhaling the sleep-heavy scent of him.

He sighed and closed his eyes, not wanting to pop this little bubble of happiness. Trying to remove his hand from Kris’s, he pulled but the grip got tighter. He felt Kris’s breathing pattern change, recognizing that he was now awake.

“Just…please,” Kris said voice scratchy and low. “A few more minutes?”

Adam nodded and left his hand where it was, pressing a kiss to Kris’s neck as acknowledgement.

They lay there like that until Kris released his tight grip of Adam’s hand with a long breath. When Kris shifted, Adam tried to move and hit the back of the sofa to accommodate their bodies, but Adam miscalculated and tried to make the adjustment. It dawned on him a little too late, when Kris suddenly stopped moving that his thigh pushed in between Kris’s legs and his erection made its presence known.

“Um…sorry,” Adam mumbled.

“It’s…it’s okay,” Kris answered, slightly breathless. “I…I should…You need to…uh…The girls are probably…”

Adam’s hand moved before his brain could tell it to stop, palming down Kris’s chest, over the soft t-shirt. He felt Kris’s erratic heartbeat and sudden shallow breathing, hand shaking as it drifted down towards the elastic waistband of Kris’s pants. Not able to help himself, Adam pressed an open-mouthed kiss to the back of Kris’s neck, tongue flicking out to taste the skin he’d been missing. His fingertips snuck under the fabric of Kris’s sleep pants, feeling the silky skin as he reached down…until Kris’s hand stopped it.

“I…don’t…please,” Kris garbled out with short breaths. “I…not…”

Balling his hand into fist against Kris’s lower abdomen, Adam moved his as he rubbed against the skin and pressed in against Kris’s bellybutton, short hairs tickling his knuckles. He went to move his hand.

“Sorry…” Adam breathed out. “I didn’t…” He stopped talking as Kris pressed his hand against Adam’s. Feeling Kris pull at his fingers, spreading them to rest fully against his abs, Adam rested his forehead onto Kris’s shoulder.

“Adam…just…overwhelmed,” Kris said, squeezing the top of Adam’s hand and pushing it harder against his stomach. “Just…”

“It’s okay, Kris…”

“No, just…sorry, not ready…not yet,” Kris stuttered out. “I need…it’s a lot. Please, some…just…a little more time…”

“I’ll wait,” Adam murmured, interrupting Kris. He reveled in just being able to touch Kris’s velvety skin. He placed a kiss behind Kris’s ear and pressed tight, pulling Kris into him. “It’s okay. Know that I’ll wait. I’ll wait for you. I’ll always wait.”

**

Kris paced the length of guestroom. After months essentially, of hiding out in here, sleeping, thinking, feeling alone, he still couldn’t bring himself to think of it as his room, which if he thought about it, was a good sign. He braced himself to take the next step.

“So, what’s the deal with you and Adam?” Cale asked. He popped a cherry tomato into his mouth. “Are you, you know…”

Kris made a face at the way Cale was chewing.

“Dude,” Matt said. “That’s highly inappropriate.”

“Thanks, Matt,” Kris replied as he opened a bag of chips.

“You can obviously see that he’s all kinds of horny and shit,” Matt continued, ignoring Kris’s indignant gasp. “And Adam? He’s ready to burst.”

“Hmmm,” Cale hummed. “You’re right. His hugs have been more lately. I mean, he’s even hugging you when he usually just pats you on the back.”

“Exactly!” Matt said grabbing the chips from Kris’s unmoving hand. He moved to the floor and sprawled, head against the arm of the sofa. “I mean, he’s Adam Lambert and all, but dude…he’s married to one of my best friends.”

“Right?” Cale exclaimed as he popped open a beer. “He’s pretty, for a guy, and seriously, if I swung that way I’m sure I’d be tempted…”

Kris scowled, “You two need to mind your own fucking business.” He fell into the leather sofa and crossed his arms, “And stop talking like that, it’s creepy.”

Cale laughed and patted Kris’s thigh, “We know, buddy. Just saying. There’s only so much a man in his position can do to hold back when he’s got men and women throwing themselves at him. He’s ready to blow…”

“I’m sure he’d rather blow Kris,” Matt interrupted. He tilted his head up and addressed Kris, “Not that we’re pushing or really want to or need to know, but we’re just looking out for you.”

“By inquiring about my sex life?” Kris asked incredulously. “Seriously?”

Cale handed Kris an opened beer bottle, “Your memories are returning. Slowly, but they are. I see it, the girls see it, hell, they practically squeal when something happens, we all see it, and you know Adam does. You’re even going back to work next week. I think now you need to take the next step.”

Kris raised an eyebrow and took a long pull from the bottle. Tapping the glass with a fingertip, he asked, “Fine, I’ll bite. What do you think is the next step?”

He was scared of Cale’s grin.

Brad was telling Tatiana a story, arms flailing as he moved between the cupboard and the table, somehow transferring food over without spilling anything. Kris stepped into the kitchen and waited.

“Puppy!” Brad squealed. He tossed the bread towards Tatiana and jumped into Kris’s personal space and wrapped scrawny arms around him, hugging him tight. “Why are you hiding from me?”

“I’m…not,” Kris choked out, feeling the blood drain from his arms. “Brad…I can’t…breathe.”

“Aww puppy, don’t exaggerate,” Brad said, moving away and gripping his shoulders. “Join us for lunch? We weren’t sure if you wanted to, since you were hiding out and all. You had PT this morning, right? You have to be starving.” He reached down and patted Kris’s hip, “You need to fatten up a bit. I mean, don’t get me wrong, you’re still a hot little puppy, but you really shouldn’t aspire to my size.”

“Lunch…yeah, that would be great.”

“Yay! Come on,” Brad said, pulling on Kris’s wrist. “Sandwiches.”

Kris ate and listened as Brad carried on the conversation, Tatiana joining in. He watched Brad and smiled.

“What’s that smile for, puppy?”

Shaking his head, Kris grinned, “Nothing.”

“Aww, come on, tell. You know I hate it when you do that.”

“Which is why I like doing it,” Kris laughed.

Brad stuck out in lips in an exaggerated pout, “You’re a mean puppy sometimes.” He yelped and glared at Tatiana, then widened his eyes at the motion of her head. Turning his attention back to Kris, “Okay, so tell me, you’re smiling about something. And, it must be good.”

“It’s nothing, really,” Kris said shaking his head. “But, I need to ask you two for some help? Please?”

Fluttering his eyes and running a finger along Kris’s chest, Brad smirked, “Only if you tell me what you were smiling about.”

Tatiana smacked Brad’s arm, “Of course we’ll help.”

“Uh,” Kris started, rubbing the back of his neck. “Can you tell me if Adam decides to take an early flight back from New York? Or at least if his flight back is still on schedule?”

“Of course.”

“Ooh, puppy…are you,” Brad started. He narrowed his eyes and Kris felt the blush start. “You are!” Brad clapped his hands and made a gleeful noise. “Well, then…” he turned to Tatiana. “Let’s do this.”

Kris bit his lip, “Also, uh…one more thing.”

**

Adam played with the handle of his backpack as he waited for the flight attendant to open plane’s door. Putting on his sunglasses, he stepped onto the jet-way and took long strides into the gate area.

Monique made sure his suitcases were shipped back to the house from the hotel, so he wouldn’t have to wait at the baggage carousel or have to sign the permit to have it delivered. He was just too tired for it this time. The re-shoots in Manhattan during a massive heat wave pretty much frayed on everyone’s last nerves, but they got it done. The premiere was in two months and would be released on Christmas. If it didn’t get edited and to the studio, well, no matter what he or his co-stars said and did for promotion, it would all be for shit.

Too lost in thought over replaying some of his scenes, the buzz of his cell phone scared the fuck out of him. He looked down at the text.

Brat: Eddy had another assignment. New driver. He knows you so don’t act like a dumbass and approach random strangers.

It was almost one in the morning, why was Tatiana… He texted back You think you’re so funny, brat. If nobody’s there, will catch cab. Go to sleep. We’ve got work in the morning

Brat: Last-minute change. Figured you’d like to know. ;p Will be in late, have an appt

Adam rolled his eyes and typed out, Fine. No worries. See you tomorrow.

Steeping onto the escalator to head down, he hiked the straps of his backpack more securely over his shoulder and pulled on a beanie. He really didn’t want to deal with paparazzi tonight, so hopefully the new driver would know the ins and outs of the airport to be able to escape unscathed.

He had a couple seconds of respite until the flashes started. Though the airline’s employees and the couple of airport security tried to hold the small group back, there was nothing to be done to stop the cameras from snapping pictures and shouting out questions. Mentally apologizing to the other people in the airport, he forced a small smile and waved to the cameras as he frantically searched for the new driver.

When Adam saw him, he nearly collided into another passenger. Mumbling apologies, he kept walking despite flashes going off. Kris was standing near the exit, hands in his pocket and a smirk on his face.

“Heard you might need a ride,” Kris stated as Adam approached.

“Something like that,” Adam said, smile now completely real.

Kris pointed a thumb towards the exit, “Car’s out thataway if you want to, you know, tag along.”

“That’d be nice.”

“I guess we should get going?” Kris queried, stepping up on his toes looking behind Adam’s shoulder. “Unless you want them to keep taking photos of us looking like dumbasses in the airport in the middle of the night.”

Adam grabbed Kris’s hand and pressed a kiss to his head, “Let’s get going.” He took a moment as his mouth lingered at the touch of skin and hair. Inhaling, he let go.

“Did you just sniff me?”

Huffing out a laugh, Adam stepped back. “You wish.” Following Kris’s lead out of the terminal, he was barely aware of the couple of stragglers behind them snapping photos.

His mind was reeling, questions bouncing around in his head, but Adam remained silent as Kris pulled out of the parking garage and made his way out of the airport. Shifting in his seat, he played with the touch-screen panel to adjust the music, killing time to figure out exactly what to say. He decided to go with their long-standing joke.

“I see you haven’t lost your bad habit of trolling the airport in the middle of the night.”

Kris grinned, but kept his eyes on the road as he shrugged, “You call it trolling, I call it treasure hunting.”

“Treasure hunting? Seriously?”

Shrugging again, Kris retorted, “You have no idea what kind of goodies I find.” He glanced over quickly at Adam before looking forward again. “How else do I find tall, dark and handsome? But, you’re not bad, I guess, considering I haven’t done this in a while.”

“I…I don’t even know how to respond to that,” Adam said, shaking his head. He let his head fall back against the headrest. “The, uh, paps, they weren’t…”

Kris quirked his mouth, “Nah, it was fine. Hung around outside the doors until I saw the blast of flashes, then I knew you were there.” He shrugged one shoulder, “No one really paid attention to me until you walked up.”

“Oh. Sorry.”

“I know how to be ninja about this stuff, you know.”

Adam chuckled.

“You look beat. Try to rest a bit.”

“I can’t sleep in the car.”

“Uh-huh,” Kris laughed softly. “Lean back, close your eyes and you might be surprised.”

“Did you just…” Adam shook his head as he chuckled. “Whatever.” He used his right hand to find the seat adjustment controls and leaned back as far as possible.

The light breeze from the open windows and the hum of the car lulled Adam to sleep. He awoke with a start when the engine shut down.

Rubbing his hand over his face, he groaned, “I fell asleep, didn’t I?”

“Kinda, yeah.”

Adam could hear the laughter in his voice. “Shut up.” The passenger side door opened and he felt Kris’s hand on his arm.

“Come on Sleeping Beauty; let’s get to you to bed so you can pass out for real.”

**

Kris half-dragged Adam through the front door, despite his whining protests of wanting to go to the kitchen.

“Sheesh, you big baby,” Kris grumbled. “I’ll bring your tea up. I need you to jump into the shower and get the plane stink off you.”

“I don’t stink.”

“Keep telling yourself that.”

“You’re mean.”

“Says the giant lump of limbs I’m trying to get through the door,” Kris grunted. He pulled the keys out and managed to get the door open. Pushing Adam in and setting him up to lean against the doorway, he closed the door, locked it and set the alarm. “Come on.”

“Kris…”

“Yes, dear…” Kris found himself pushed back against the door, Adam plastered on him. “Adam,” he choked.

“Missed you,” Adam said.

With no time to breathe out or respond, Adam’s lips were on his, hands cupping his face, body leaning forward, pinning him hard against the door. He kissed Adam back, opening his mouth, wanting to feel. Their tongues licked and prodded, teeth nipped and lips slid over the other. Kris moved his arm to circle around Adam’s waist, pulling him closer, free hand going up to angle their heads to deepen the kiss, bodies moving restlessly against the door.

Kris jerked and pushed Adam back.

“Shit. Sorry,” Adam stated, breathing hard. “I didn’t mean to…”

“No, no Adam,” Kris grimaced. “It wasn’t…”

“I’m…shower, yeah.”

Kris watched helplessly as Adam ran up the stairs, taking them two at a time. Massaging his hip, he blew out a breath, “It was just the doorknob…”

**

Running the sopping washcloth over his shoulder a final time, Adam stepped back under the spray of hot water. After a final rinse, he snatched the towel from the rack and shook his head in disgust. Not even home for an hour and he was jumping on Kris like a horny teenager.

Adam muttered to himself as he dried off, “Space, need to give him space.”

Pulling on a pair of boxers and a t-shirt, he leaned over the counter. He looked at his image through the steamed up mirrors and made a face. Taking the towel in hand, he roughly massaged his hair as he got out of the bathroom.

He stopped short, nearly tripping over his own feet, when he saw Kris sitting on his side of the bed, back against the headboard, glasses on, book in hand.

“Glad I jumped into the shower before I picked you up at the airport,” Kris said putting the book down. “There’s probably no hot water left.” He pointed to the corner, “There’s some tea if you want it.”

“Uh…thanks?”

Adam looked around the room again, taking in the details he missed when he first ran up, leaving Kris downstairs in the entryway. Jeans, a tie and vest haphazardly thrown over one of the sitting chairs by the corner, a small tray with a kettle and mug, Converse sneakers shucked into a corner by the dresser like Kris had kicked them off in a hurry, suit hung on the coat-rack...almost like…normal…like before.

“What…” Adam cleared his throat. “Did I miss something?”

“I, uh…” Kris started. He blushed when Adam turned towards him. He looked down and played with the corner of the book in his lap, avoiding Adam’s eyes. “I…um.”

“What’s going on?” Adam couldn’t stop hitch in his voice. He stepped towards the bed, dropping the towel in his wake. Sitting on the edge of it, his voice wavered, “Kris?”

“I just figured…after the den thing,” Kris stammered. “I moved back in. I can leave if you want,” he rushed out in a single breath.

Hand shaking visibly, Adam reached out and touched Kris’s chin, “No, I don’t want you to leave.” His fingers lifted his chin, turning his face, but Kris still wouldn’t look at him. “I want you here.”

“I’m still, it’s not that…I’m not really ready…”

Adam scooted up the bed, sitting next to him, knee touching Kris’s thigh under the comforter, “You’re here,” he said. “That’s what I want. That’s all that matters.”

Kris finally met his eyes, “I don’t want you to…to think that I’m.” He stopped to take a breath, “I don’t want to be…uh, make things worse, when…”

“Kris.”

“Yeah?”

“Shut up,” Adam commanded softly. He knocked the book off Kris’s lap, ignoring his slight noise of protest over losing the bookmark; then he leaned forward to carefully remove the glasses from Kris’s face, stretching over his body to place them on the bedside table. “You’re here, with me, back where you should be. Where I want you to be.”

Slumping down, Adam captured Kris’s mouth, slowly, gently moving his lips, nipping the bottom lip. Pushing up on his fists to prevent himself from grabbing Kris’s face and pushing him into the pillows, he kept the kiss light, simple slides of lips, little licks at the corners. As much as he wanted to deepen the kiss, ravage him even, he gave Kris the choice to back off if he wanted. God, he hoped Kris didn’t want to.

Please, please, Adam begged internally. His arms started to shake when Kris lurched up, hands clutching the sides of Adam’s face, fingertips pressing into his skull and opened his mouth to Adam’s searching tongue. With a groan, Adam fell onto Kris, as they pulled apart to breathe.

Adam moved his hand and moved the back of his fingers around Kris’s hairline, “Hi.”

“Hi,” Kris said, smiling back at him.

Kris got up from the desk and groaned, rubbing his back then shoulder. Grabbing the half-empty Coke can, he turned to look out the window. He smiled as he watched Tommy try to talk into the camera Matt was holding while Adam threw orange peels at him from behind. Shaking his head, he went back to work.

When his eyes started to strain, he pushed back from his desk and started to go through some stretches as his physical therapist kept nagging him to do. After going through the motions, he blew out a breath and shook himself.

He bent over to pick-up a blanket and started to it fold it when he whooshed out a breath as Adam draped himself over his back, one hand sliding across his waist while the other curved over his shoulder. Fingers found the edge of his t-shirt then started stroking the skin, low on Kris’s stomach.

“What…what are you doing?” Kris asked, breathless.

“I missed you,” Adam answered as he continued to caress Kris’s chest with his right hand and the left continued to move lower, flirting with the edge of his jeans. “Need to touch you,” he growled. “Teasing me with the stretching and your muscles, your skin…”

“Tom-my…Ma-Matt.”

“They left fifteen minutes ago,” Adam answered, lightly biting the skin by the collar. “The house is empty, and you’re all mine.”

Kris groaned, both hands gripping Adam’s arms as he pushed back, feeling Adam’s erection. “Adam…”

“I’m going to touch you,” Adam punctuated by grinding into Kris ass. “Kiss you,” as he placed a wet kiss at the back of his neck. “Lick you,” as he rubbed his nipple. “Suck you,” as his hand slinked beneath the waistband of his jeans.

“Oh…god.”

Adam licked behind his ear and laughed, “I prefer you using my name, but that’ll work.” Kris shivered and tried to turn. “Kris…shirt. Off. Now,” he demanded, tongue moving along the side of Kris’s neck.

Kris tried to turn, use his hands to get some semblance of control over the situation, maybe, possibly remove his shirt. Instead he was spun away from the couch and pushed towards the wall. One of Adam’s hands was on his head and the other along his throat, as his back slammed against it.

Kris tipped his head back, staring up at Adam’s eyes, seeing nothing but dark pupils, desire shining through. Slumping, he moaned as Adam rubbed his hard cock against his thigh. They walked this tight-rope the last couple of weeks since Kris moved back into their room. Touching, kissing, licking, rubbing, but they never went further than that. It was like there was some barrier that neither of them tempted to cross, no matter how much Kris wanted the barrier knocked down.

Adam’s hands moved and flexed and stroked, making Kris whimper. At the sound, Adam growled and lowered his mouth, kissing a trail down Kris’s throat as hands finally started to lift his shirt. Raising his arms up, Kris swayed forward to find Adam’s lips again as soon as the shirt was thrown to the floor.

Their kiss was broken as Adam sank to his knees. Kris nearly jerked off the wall, embarrassed flush creeping up his cheeks, then he sucked in a breath as Adam mouthed at his cock through his jeans. His hands balled into fists and slammed against the wall, fighting the sensation and trying to hold back.

“Shit…” Kris breathed out. “Adam.”

“No talking,” Adam growled, reaching up unbutton his jeans.

As Adam lowered the zipper, his hands tightened on the edges of the jeans and dragged the denim and boxers underneath down excruciatingly slowly down Kris’s thighs until both were pooled at the ankles. Raising his hands, Adam skimmed Kris’s legs, from calves to knees to thighs, and then pushed them apart until his breath tickled Kris’s groin.

Kris couldn’t talk, couldn’t move as he watched Adam placed little kisses to the skin right next to his erection. Adam looked up, making sure Kris is watching, and he was. He couldn’t look away. Between feeling like he might die and burst at the same time, Kris tried to breathe. His hands scrambled and slid along the wall.

At the press of Adam’s fingers between his legs, Kris bent over from the shot of Holy Shit that ran from the tip of his toes to his brain, as he exploded while Adam’s tongue licked a stripe up his cock.

“Sorry, sorry,” Kris groaned out. His face burst into flames, knowing it was ridiculously red.

Adam slid up Kris’s body, wrapped his fingers in Kris’s hair and bent down to kiss him again. “It’s okay,” Adam murmured in between kisses and licks. “It was hot.”

Kris moved his hands to wrap around Adam’s waist, “I can…” He tried to move his clumsy fingers down to the button of Adam’s jeans.

“I’m good,” Adam breathed out against his neck. He grabbed Kris’s wrist and placed his palm over the zipper, letting him feel the dampness seeping through. “I’m really good. And, seriously, that was hot.”

“Really?” Kris asked, knocking his head against the wall. “You really…” he closed his eyes and tilted his head, offering his neck up to Adam’s mouth.

“Really,” Adam punctuated with a kiss along his jaw. “If you don’t think…”

Kris huffed out a laugh, “You have a thing for me and a wall and making me lose my mind, don’t you?”

Adam grinned, “It’s seriously hot.”

**

His hand was running up and down Kris’s back, palm gently moving against the delicate soft skin that peeked out whenever the t-shirt rode up. Kris lay on his side, arm wrapped over Adam’s chest, humming in contentment whenever Adam’s fingers rubbed against his skin.

Adam didn’t know why, but he started to sing. The song really wasn’t what he had planned on singing, at least not out loud, not to Kris, but it had been on constant repeat on his iPod, haunting him since he woke up with Kris in his arms in the den. Kris buried his head further into Adam’s neck.

“I’d say love was a magical thing
I’d say love would keep us from pain
Had I been there
Had I been there

I would promise you all of my life
But to lose you would cut like a knife
So, I don’t dare
No I don’t dare

‘Cause I’ve never come close in all of these years
You are the only one to stop my tears
And, I’m so scared
I’m so scared

Take me back in time
Maybe I can forget
Turn a different corner and we never would have met
Would you care

I don’t understand it, for you it’s a breeze
Little by little you’ve brought me to my knees
Don’t you care

No, I’ve never come close in all of these years
You are the only one to stop my tears
I’m so scared of this love

And if all that there is, is this fear of being used
I should go back to being lonely and confused
If I could, I would, I swear
I swear”

Kris raised his hand up, fingers tracing Adam’s jaw and lips. “Do you really feel that way?” he asked quietly.

Adam took in a shaky breath and shook his head, unable to say anything as words got stuck in his throat. He rolled his head back into the pillow and closed his eyes to prevent the unshed tears from falling.

“A few of the lines, yeah,” Adam finally choked out. His hand tightened into fists against the small of Kris’s back. “The part where I’m scared of this…” he breathed out through his mouth, but continued, “how losing you would cut like a knife, bringing me to my knees. All of that.”

The sudden wetness along his chest made him look down.

“Kris…”

“You don’t need to be scared, Adam,” Kris said. “Not anymore.” He traced circles along Adam’s side and pressed a warm hand down. “I’m here.”

“I love you, you know.”

Kris looked up at him then, soft brown eyes meeting his. “I love you, too. Always.”

“You’re really up for this?”

Kris rolled his eyes, “For the tenth time, yes.” He stood patiently as Brad fixed his tie. “I still may not remember everything, but I think I can handle walking the fifty feet of shitty red carpeting, then standing in the background while Adam’s being interviewed and smiling when they call out my name.”

“Background? Hardly, puppy,” Brad clucked his tongue. “Knowing Adam, which you and I both do, you’re not going to be more than arm’s distance away from him tonight, if that. Actually, he probably won’t even let go of your hand. I’ve never seen him more nervous.” He tilted his head and stuck out his bottom lip, “Actually, your very first red carpet walk he was a wreck, but this is a close second.”

“I can deal.”

Brad nodded absently and gave the tie a final tug, then used his palms to smooth down the suit’s lapels. “There we go.”

“Thank you.”

After giving Kris a hug, shouted as he left the bedroom, “Monique, puppy is red-carpet ready! When’s the car getting here?”

Kris laughed as picked up the Coke can. His hand shook, so he set it back down on the table quickly, laughter disappearing.

He leaned back when Adam’s arms wrapped around him, “You okay?” Adam asked placing a kiss on his temple.

“Yeah, I’m good.”

“You know you don’t…”

“I do. And, I want to,” Kris broke in, not wanting to hear it. He knew what Adam was going to say. “You always say I don’t have to, but I do. Just a little touch of nerves, like always, is all.”

“A touch?”

Kris relaxed in Adam’s arms, “A little more than usual, yes. But, I’ll be fine. Just smile and look like I’m proud of you, right?”

Adam chuckled in his ear before nipping at the lobe, “Ass.”

“But, you love me,” Kris replied, turning around in his arms. Lifting his chin up, he met Adam’s blue eyes, “And I love you.”

Adam smiled, small lines framing his eyes and mouth, “I do. Love you.” Their foreheads met and Kris closed his eyes, breathing in Adam’s scent.

“Car’s here!” Monique’s voice carried throughout the house.

“You two better not be messing up your outfits by doing something scandalous!” Brad shouted up a second later. “I’ll be on the lookout!”

Kris couldn’t help but crack up. Adam sighed and pulled away from the embrace.

“We’ll be right down! Get out of here and dance your pretty butt off with Cass and Jack and the other boys!” Adam shouted back, picking up his jacket. He held his hand out for Kris. “Ready?”

Biting his lip, Kris nodded. He closed the distance and took Adam’s hand.
