On the road again

I'm flying to my uncle's to help him with year-end crud. I luv flying. I lub it with a passion. I especially luff going through boarding, or as I've come to think of it, "the gateways of hell". Defying all common sense by entering a sealed metal tube weighing thousands of pounds and adorned with the equivalent of several tons of explosive material and then expecting it to safely leave the earth only to safely return to it several hours later and thousands of miles away sounds like great fun!

I must be insane.

On a related note (i.e. the penchent for biting off more than I would have wished to chew had I only known...), I got a recliner rocker from freecycle today. In order to safely bring it to the apartment, I had to run the seatbelt through the trunk to secure the chair, which didn't quite fit (damn that center of gravity!). In order to assuage both my nerves and my conscience, I took ten miles of back roads to do it. Around mile five I started to contemplate all the compromised forethought crap I'd trained to deal with at Mt. Sinai; this only served as a reminder that I'm not cured, merely treated.

Fleah. I'm glad to have the chair, but it was a pain in the tushy to get it here. Stubbornness or stupidity? Only the chair knows for sure- and it's comfy!

It's midnight, and I still have laundry to do. Bug is safely tucked in at my brother's and I miss him. I miss my husband, and my kid, and I'd better stop before I get verklempft- or worse yet, before I feel compelled to look up verklempft and make sure I spelled it right.

the chair needs a seam sewed...
