AWESOME POSSUM NIGHT!!!
It is quite amazing how this little town of less than 2000 people has gotten so loud tonight, the horns going, hooting and hollaring, fireworks, radios and TV's blasting. It is phenominal, exhilarating. It is just the lift that the whole Chicagoland needed from this slump in the economy, something to give the people hope. Just the pure excitement from tonight- from after the win is enough to bring tears to my eyes (no. it's not the medication or anything else going on haha).
Even people who don't care about it can feel the break in that tension and pain that has been lingering for what seems like ages.
Tonight is a night for celebration. Tomorrow is too. God, I hope the whole state can take from this and try to make the world a bit better haha.
