Kaitlyn and Julia's Visit!
This weekend was really excellent because Kait and Julia came to visit!
Thursday, Kaitlyn arrived and we spent the evening (after work) watching movies.
Friday, I worked while Kaitlyn met with Allan. And then right after work we ran down to Rodger's Park to meet with Elena, her friend Mary from London, and Gwen. We went out to dinner at a cool restaurant. Then Kaitlyn and I made our way down to the Improv Olympics to see White Jazz, a show that included two of my brother's improv friends from Ann Arbor! Woo. It was fun. Then we came home and slept.
Julia came in on Saturday, and we went to pick her up. We took the Metra back to Evanston (wooo double decker trains!) and took a nap before going out thrift shopping! Then we went downtown to go Salsa dancing in Grant Park! Afterwards, we went out to Navy Pier to see the fireworks!
Sunday we went to see Harry Potter, and then went downtown to the Summer Dance again for Julia, and Millennium Park for Kaitlyn and I. We walked around and looked at all the sights before ending up going shopping at Nordstrom's. They had a big sale. Afterwards, we made our way back to Evanston, ate dinner, and Kaitlyn and Julia insisted we go get something to drink. All the liquor stores were closed in Evanston by 7 on a Sunday, so we went to the grocery store. We watched Star Trek (Kaitlyn's bootleg) and then went to bed.
Overall, jam packed weekend! I already miss my girls. It was just so fun and so good to see them! I'm going to miss them so much now that we're not always around each other! It's weird not having all my friends in one place.
