GARAGE SALEEEEE
sooo tired. but i had a somewhat interesting weekend. i made $120 at the garage sale with jana on saturday. that was kinda fun, but oh my goodness, what in the world was wrong with the weather? it was supposed to rain, but not only did it NOT rain, but it was SOOOO freakin' hot. i was wearing jeans and a shirt, and i was totally sweating. and if you know me, you know i DO NOT sweat. (i glisten. hahaha. just kidding. but no really, it takes a LOT for me to start sweating). so anyway, i'm glad we got rid of a lot of our junk in the house...i still have more, but am too lazy to clean it all out. but yeah, what a nice quick way to make some money. better than my job at banana! hahaha.
TRICKING THE NECK
so as you know, i cut my hair off exactly one week ago to celebrate my sister's marriage. i LOVE having my hair so short and quite honestly, i think the short-hair look looks better on me than long hair. but anyway, so i guess since i'd been growing my hair out for three months, i got used to the fact that i had hair around my head, so this ENTIRE week, i kept feeling like i had my hair up in a ponytail or something. i mean, i didnt feel anything on my neck anymore, so i just assumed i had my hair pinned up, but i didn't. how deceiving. and theni would touch the back of my head and realize that there's nothing back there except my short messy-look hair. yay.
LONG POO HORNS
when i really get into a game, i REALLY get into it. at the garage sale yesterday, we brought out the tv and watched the UT game. can i just say that was almost the BIGGEST disappointment this entire week!?!? i mean wow. how we managed to lose to an unranked team just blows my mind. and to think before the game, we were all talking and saying like, well we don't really need to watch it since we can'tr eally lose to arkansas. and then boom, it happened. the only time we were ever up was that first TD, and following that, we were just trampled on. and i kept thinking that maybe we'd have a comeback, but what happens? our defense sucked it up even more.
i'm not a professional football player, but isn't it true that you should aim before you dive at another player? we coulda had SO many sacks if they woulda just aimed better. and not just sacks, i mean, in general, they just need to aim better. and when there's a fumble, are you not supposed to go after the ball? cuz dude, i didn't really see that happening. and if i remember correctly, there were a few fumbles during that game. i was totally yelling at the tv screen and getting upset.
i went to espn's website after i got home at night and read about our game...and they had this picture and this caption.
Texas' defense did far too little of this.
and then i got mad just looking at it. hahaha. but anyway, i dont' want to talk about this anymore...my heart just started beating faster while i was typing all that before. freaky, huh? hahaa. and you people thought i wasn't a big football fan.
BLUNDERFUL SPORTS
last week, i was watching espn's blunderful world of sports, and they were showing the top ten blunder moments i guess. some of them were kinda hard to watch and made me cringe (the extreme sports wipe-outs one), and another one that showed a bull attacking a man with his horns. it was freaky. but it was still funny to watch, and i have to say, i never really got to see the video of randy johnson hitting the bird on his pitch, but it was #1 on the blunderful moments countdown...can i just say that has GOT TO BE one of the funniest (yet cruelest) thing i'd ever seen?? i just started cracking up and could not stop. and then i felt bad for laughing since the bird died. then i cracked up when this was said:
In March 2001, pitcher Randy Johnson of the Arizona Diamondbacks struck a dove in mid-flight as he delivered a pitch in a spring-training game against the San Francisco Giants. The dove was instantly pulverized.
call me mean-hearted, but that's some funny stuff. not funny for the bird though... :(
