Memorial Weekend Update

May 31, 2005 11:18

The original plan was to go to Mammoth Lake, but my nephew got sick, so the plan got changed. I was so excited getting to know that place, but I got disappointed. Oh well, there's always next time.

Thursday: I had a date with Daniel. We met up in HB Mainstreet for some Starbucks coffee. We talked and flirted while walking around. I think he's cute, has his shit together, funny, nice, talkative, but he might be the type of guy that like to manipulate women. I'm not a 100% sure, but I'm watching him very closely. Later that night, I went over to Adam's place for a massage. Thanks Adam *muah (if you're reading this).

Friday: Had breakfast with Adam at The Original Pancake House in Anaheim. I always love their breakfast items. Since Walt Disney is celebrating their 50th Anniversary, he took Friday off to go to Disneyland with me. How cute was he? I love spontaneity. As for Disneyland, I don't care for it as much as Disneyworld. In my opinion, Disneyworld is five times better than Disneyland. What can I say? I'm a Floridian!

Saturday: Two of my sisters and I went shopping at South Coast Plaza. I wasn't in the mood to shop, so didn't get anything. I was craving for some Nabeyaki Udon at Kappo Honda in Fountain Valley. Boy, it was so good to get my hand on that bowl of soup. Beside those two orders of that soup that we shared, we also ordered grilled crispy salmon skin salad, tuna tataki salad, tuna sashimi appetizer, yellowtail sashimi appetizer, shrimp tempura, kimpira, and two orders of the green tea icecream. Everything was so delish! Around 10 P.M., I hung out with Richard down on Mainstreet in HB. We got a couple of Amstel Lite beers at Inka Grill. Just chilled at a corner sofa and made fun at some people that was walking by us.

Sunday: My sister family, my brother, Theo (a cousin from San Jose) , along with his two other friends joined me at a BBQ picnic down in Laguna Beach. We had such a fun time bbqing and pigging out. What we bought along were some homemade bbq ribs, marinated pork chops (Vietnamese style), French breads, watermelons, Sun Chips, Doritos, potato chips, fruit punch, pink lemonade, Dr. Pepper, Rotisserie Chicken from Pavillions, and mixed green salad. Later in the evening, I went up to Alhambra for some fun poker at Lynn's place. There, I had more food. She fed me bbq chicken, salmon, corn on the cob with homemade Vietnamese fried rice. The food was also good there too. Later on into the game, we had brownies, mixed fruit salad, and mango for dessert. Can you tell that I ate wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much over the weekend? I feel fat right now. LOL.

Monday: Had dimsum with Lynn and Sheryl. It wasn't good, so I don't remember the name of this place called. Then, came back to Lynn's place and we took a little nap. Around 7ish, I went with Lynn to Old Town in Pasadena so I can purchase my Aveda Shampure shampoo in a 33.8 fl oz.. Since Lather is a few doors down to my left, we wanted to check it out too. I bought a lavender & lime shea butter treatment for my feet and hand. I love to scrub and pamper myself as you can see. As I walked out of Lather store, I saw a J.Crew store across the street. Of course, I had to make a visit. Checked out the store, almost bought a cute pair of green leather sandal, some tanks and t-shirts for the summer, but changed my mind when I was waiting in line to pay for these items. As I stood in line, I was thinking that these are cute stuffs, but do I really needed them? I have tons of summer t-shirts and tank tops at home in my chest drawer waiting for me to take them out and let them see the sun light of day. So, I had to say goodbye to the store, then headed home. To make myself feel better, I got some Lychee green iced tea at Tea Station. As we were heading home, I felt hungry. I was in the mood to have some grub at Oomasa in Little Tokyo. I ordered spicy tuna roll with avocado and cucumber. Also, some salmon, hamachi, maguro, and tobiko sushi.

There you go folks, that was my exciting holiday weekend update. Most of the times, I have to mention about food in my journal entries. I enjoy food, so that makes me a food lover =).
