Appalachian Brewing Co. Root Beer

Appalachian Brewing Co. Root Beer

Found this brew at my local Giant Food Store (not to be confused with the Giant Food Store that is based out of Maryland--they're the same but operate independently in PA.) Caught my eye with the bear on the label and the claim of "Brewed with A DELIGHTFUL BLEND OF HONEY."

Well, I couldn't really detect any honey in the flavor. Instead, I detected a whole lotta licorice flavor. Not a bad flavoring, but if you're not used to it, it might be a turn off. Not too sweet, and a nice amount of bite. All in all, this is a pretty good root beer.

Sweetened With: "High fructose corn syrup and/or pure granulated sugar, honey"

Verdict: Worth a bottle or two
