Stewart's Ginger Beer

Stewart's Ginger Beer

Yet another one of the rarer varieties of Stewart's Fountain Classics. I first tried this stuff many years ago when I found it at this little dairy market in South Jersey (the now long gone Sunnyside Farms in Westampton.) At the time, I knew quite well what ginger ale was, but had never heard of ginger beer. So yeah, this beverage was my first exposure to ginger beer.

And it still stands as one of the best ginger beers I've ever had! It has a healthy amount of spice and bite, tempered with just the right amount of sweetness. A lot of ginger beers get the balance wrong of all the flavors, either it's too sweet, too spicy, not sweet enough, not spicy enough, etc. This one gets it all right! Don't pass it up if you find it!

Sweetened With: "high fructose corn syrup"

Verdict: Worth a case or two

corn sweetened, stewarts, ginger beer
