Boylan's Creamy Red Birch Beer
Like how A-Treat makes both a Clear/White and Brown Birch Beer, Boylan's makes a Brown and Red Birch Beer ("Creamy Red" to be exact.) Is there a major difference between the two? We're about to find out.
Well, the taste is a little lighter than that of the Brown Birch. You know how I said that one was a bit minty? Well, that's gone in this one and the hint of vanilla takes its place. Still plenty of bite and nice sweetness. Better than most Birch Beers, but all in all, I think I prefer the other Boylan's just a bit. One thing I wonder . . . why red? The red color is artificial (the ingredients list "red dye no. 40), so this could theoretically be any ol' color! I guess more people are familiar with a Red Birch Beer than any other color.
And I'll admit that a Green Birch Beer would be pretty darn weird!!
Sweetened With: "pure cane sugar"
Verdict: Worth a case or two
