turn loose the heaven within
as much as i can stress about not getting any research done or having too many other projects to be able to work on my research, when i do manage to start working on it, i rest in the confidence that no matter how many other "urgent" things i have, there will always be time for them later.
a few brief moments:
- putting on winter clothing in the cold, long sleeves on my arms like a constant reminder of the present moment
- tossing frying food in a round-cornered pan (it's amazing how much i missed this from using only cast-iron in the old house!)
- repeatedly listening to newly acquired music; sometimes for mood, sometimes for work
- hot cocoa, made with proper dark chocolate
- actually properly enjoying myself at a roselawn party
- cold mornings; a warm laptop on my feet
everything feels crisp and fresh; things are coming together. it's going to be a good winter.
