Well, going straight into it was a good tactic in Roxas' book; less time to think about it and drag himself down into a spiral of brooding, and he had less time to focus on the fact that he felt very, very awkward here.

"A Nobody is..." He struggled to find the words, trying to pull up the explanations Zexion and Axel and the others had given him back when he was a fresh new member of the Organization. "It's what's left of a person - a Somebody - when their heart is taken away. We're made entirely of Darkness, and," and it was with practised world-weariness that he didn't flinch at the next part, "we don't have emotions. It's a heartless shell with memories of another person's life, pretty much."

He flicked his hand to the side and a Corridor flared open. "The strongest Nobodies take human form, and the rest are just animal-like minions, I guess. They use the powers of Darkness, and the human ones control other things -- elements, weapons, lesser Nobodies." He fisted his hand and the portal closed up.

It felt strange to be the one explaining all of this to another person after so long of having everything explained to him, but he was just surprised he had managed to explain it all so fluently. When it came to Nozomi, he didn't think he'd be able to find his voice to tell her.

Soma stood there thinking for a moment, the logic of his world stating that if Roxas has no 'heart' physically speaking, then he should be dead. Not walking around as part of the living world. "In a way, you sound like someone with amnesia, you lost your original memories and start a new life. Only to slowly relearn the person you were before..."

"But that doesn't always mean that the you of then, and the you of now agree or are alike."

Soma understood that very well, waking up one day to learn the truth about himself and his past.

"Very well then, I won't discuss what you told me, unless you give me permission. It's only fair after all," Soma replied in a professional tone, a smile tugging on his lips. Then he turned his attention to the rainbow near by. "As for that... I think I've got an understanding of why the three of us are harmed by them, and the others weren't."

Roxas' hands curled into fists by his sides, and his expression was suddenly pained. "I don't want to be him," he said, a little choked. "And I don't want his memories anymore. I'm me. There's no way we'll ever be the same person."

He wasn't sure if he was glad or a little disappointed by the fact that Soma wouldn't go rushing to reveal what he was; if he had, then maybe Roxas would have had the motivation to explain to everyone else. But he didn't want them all to have to find out in such a way, truthfully.

Regardless of his uncertainty, he nodded. "Right." He followed Soma's gaze to the rainbow, and found himself very reluctant to step any closer to it after his last encounter. "You do? Why?"
