Who: AU Aigis; OPEN, come and bug the 'bot ♥
What: Doing her routine function checks.
Where: The Storage Facility.
When: Morning; just before midday.
(
She fired six bullets unflinchingly, and lo and behold, they all hit the upright plank dead-center. )
"Oww..." She groaned. "Aigis-san, are you okay?"
Reply
"I am fine," she answered, recapping her fingers in one quick movement. "Why? Is there a cause for concern?" Oblivious but not unfeeling, she abandoned her focus for the moment and walked over to crouch down beside Nozomi, checking to see if the girl was harmed in any way. "Are you alright, Yumehara-san?"

"My apologies," she said, offering a hand to help Nozomi up. "I did not mean to create a disturbance. I was only running tests on my systems to check that all mechanics were operating as they should. I will try not to startle you in future."

It probably ended up sounding a lot sadder than she had intended, really, but it was the truth - she couldn't be recharged or rebuilt as long as she was here, and if she was breaking down, the others should probably be alerted in advance, to save panic, and so that she could be of the most use as possible before she was rendered incapable.

Sparkles appeared around Nozomi and she grabbed onto Aigis' wrist. "You're a robot! What's that like? Were you ever not a robot? Are you secretly really old or really young? Are you from the future? Is everyone a robot there? Do you fight evil? Ryouji-san said he fights evil. If you're a robot, do you still have to go to school?"

"Yes, I am. I cannot describe it; I was created, and have always been a robot. Speaking technically, I am ten years old, and I have only been active for two. I am from the year 2010; I am the only robot. I am designed to fight evil beings known as Shadows. I attend school so that I may monitor Ryoji Mochizuki at all times."
It was... strange, simply put, to be admired for something as simple as being a mechanical non-human - generally, she would expect to be considered lesser for it, but Nozomi seemed to find it amazing for reasons she could not place. She supposed it was the same as when she had first met S.E.E.S., although she was sure that they thought her a little less than human to begin with. Maybe Nozomi was just something rare.

She stopped in the middle of her sentence, as if the rest of the 'us' in that sentence had miraculously materialized to clamp their hands over her mouth. "Aha..." Her pigtails drooped and she sweatdropped.

In regards to the beginning of her rant, Aigis considered something and, not entirely sure why, she offered, "If you would like, I could assign myself to protect Yumehara-san during her time in the Void."

She blinked. "Whoa, really? That's awesome! But that's not fair to you. I'd have to do something too. Maybe I should become your bodyguard, so we both protect each other at the same time! That's a good idea, right?"
Reply
"Really. It is not necessary to repay me; I protect Ryoji-san, and in return, what he gives me is..." Almost subconsciously, she placed a hand by her chest, fingers lingering on what would be her heart, "... is acceptance." Still, she added, "However, if you would like, that exchange can be arranged."

"Okay! Then we can do that!" Nozomi pointed up into the multicoloured air and smiled. "It's decided!"

Aigis jerked back in surprise when Nozomi suddenly stood upright with no traces of previous emotional strain, but the familiar catchphrase that she could recall from the BBS messages pulled a fond smile from her and she repeated, with not quite as much enthusiasm but no less whole-heartedly, "It is decided."

She smiled. "Yeah! That's it!"
