I decided to get my street art on with my girls. Art in the Streets is the first major historical exhibition of graffiti and street art held at
The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in Los Angeles. The show displays the origins and history of the street art movement and its spread around the world. The show runs April 17 - August 8, 2011.

The exhibit reminded me of what I saw in Miami Art Basel. If you’re into the street art scene, I highly recommend you check out the documentary,
Exit Through the Gift Shop. It’s quite excellent!
Some of the art displayed was cool. Some was wack. But that’s street art for you. You’re not quite sure what to make of it or why it’s there, but at least it’s got you thinking. Regardless, I left feeling inspired.
