Weeekend!
I love when it's Thursday but it's actually Friday at work. :) Such an amazing feeling!
This weekend is convention for our Youth. I will be with them from Thurs-Sat. I'm excited to be spending some quality time with our students since it looks like we'll be leaving soon. More to follow on that.
Sat night I'm meeting up with my cousin who I haven't seen in 2 years!!! He's driving out to Hershey park with his girlfriend and we're going to meet them for dinner. I'm so excited! I really miss him and would like to get to know his girlfriend better.
Apparently, when my husband had staff meeting yesterday they asked him to tell the rest of the staff how he was feeling about his position. He had previously had a discussion with the Pastor letting him know his feelings and explained that sometime in the next few months we feel we need to make a transition and that we won't be working with the youth anymore. (explained in previous posts that my husband feels called to evangelize and took this position out of fear of not finding a job) The discussion went well and we were relieved to tell him how we felt. However, yesterday he made Rafe tell the rest of the staff and explained it would be weeks! Rafe tried to jump in and say well we never intended it to be weeks..we were thinking more like months...and the pastor was like..No, I think this needs to take place in a few weeks. Yikes!! lol! Talk about getting the boot! I mean, I'm not blaiming my pastor or anything, this might just be God's way of closing this door so that we don't hang on for longer than necessary...it's just that we had so much planned for the next few months and we had intentions of following through with those plans...but clearly this is no longer in our hands. It never should have been and that was certainly the problem.
Please pray that since God has closed this door that he will give us wisdom and discernment on what to do next.
