not gonna lie, i am a bit jealous

maybe bitter is a better word
but... this is [one of the things] that i'm working on
i'm not sweating the small stuff
(and it's all small stuff)

quality book, by the way.  actually, i'm not very far into it... but i kinda didn't want to put it down and go to bed last night.  and with me, that's a pretty damn good sign.

i seriously don't feel like this semester has started yet.  probably because for me it really hasn't.
classwise... what have i done so far?
tuesday:
*war and pacifism - 30 minutes of going over the syllabus for what should be an 80 minutes class
*concert choir - 30 minutes of info, 15 minutes of singing, for what should be a 60 minute rehearsal
*chamber choir - 20 minutes of auditioning tenors, for what should be a 30 minute rehearsal
*wind ensemble - 30 minutes of info, 60 minutes of rehearsing, for what should be a 120 minute rehearsal
wednesday:
*chemistry of art - 90 minutes of intro stuff, for what should be a 110 minute class
*bella voce canceled
*duty night, consisting of american idol and chatting with kayla, our newest RA
thursday:
*war and pacifism - 75 minutes of class - woohoo academia!!!
*concert choir - 40 minutes of pointless sectionals, 15 minutes of possibly real work
*chamber choir - 20 minutes of rehearsal
*choir exec meeting... that was kind of intense... and long... but at least we produced the basic itinerary for our spring tour
and now i'm done for the week.  i know... what the hell.  i was thinking i should spend tomorrow job-hunting, but i decided i should probably wait until next week when i have all of my schedule completed (voice lessons, opera workshop, percussion tech, horn lessons) before i do that.  i would just rather be able to give my prospective employers a definite availability... not one that will probably change next week.

tonight i cleaned the crap out of the kitchen.  it pretty much looks amazing.  last night a couple of my girls apparently cleaned out an aquarium in the kitchen... ew.  i honestly wouldn't have known if jess wouldn't have told me.  i guess it smelled at the time, but it was fine by the time i got upstairs (or rather, by the time i snorted some nasal spray so i could actually breathe through my nose enough to smell).  but when i was cooking lunch/baking a birthday cake today, there was shit on the counter and table, which is pretty typical, but it just seemed so much more disgusting, and i just couldn't stand it.  so, while i was doing birthday cake dishes in there tonight anyway, i decided to lysol the shit out of the place.  i seriously managed to actually scrub the dark nasty burnt shit off the stove... those rings around the heating plates that have been there as long as we've lived here... they're gone!  hardcore!  i should take pictures... quickly before someone goes and messes it up again.  but, yeah, i did some major work.  i pretty much rock.

i'm watching apollo 13 for the fourth time since i've been back.  back in my old habits, i guess.  but the real one.  not that crappy imax-is-for-families-so-we're-cutting-a-bunch-of-random-stuff-for-no-apparent-reason-except-that-families-have-no-attention-span-so-we-need-to-shorten-it version.  yes, all those hyphens were completely necessary.

i'm getting tired... i suppose i should go to bed.  i'm not setting an alarm.  sweetness.  actually, i lied.  there will be one set for noon, just in case.  i have some things i need to get done on campus before offices close... like adding bella voce to my schedule (i've only been talking about that since i registered...), and hitting up the business office.  yay paycheck.  wimpy as it is.

i should spend time in the planetarium tomorrow.  i need to find the zodiac constellations.  holy crap, my public show is two weeks form tomorrow night.  EEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!

planetarium, strength, school, class, accomplishment, stress, rants, raness, movies
