talk about a quickie
i finally dressed myself at 10:20 for my 10:30 jury. i got all spiffed up, grabbed my horn, and went downstairs. 20 minutes later, i was already back in my jeans and t-shirt.
it was much better this year. i sounded better than last year - bruce even said so. although last year i played the best i ever had up until that point, and this time i didn't. i was disappointed with a few of the notes i missed. but i guess i can't dwell on missed notes.
juries are so much less intimidating when you're actually friendly with your profs. it was soooo much easier this year than last year. mostly, wendy wasn't there. but also, i know bruce, mr. hughes and RC a lot better now than i did then. maybe i won't feel so intimidated for my piano jury tomorrow? ha... i won't count on that. somehow RC is a LOT more intimidating when he's watching you play his instrument...
