dear u.s. bank,
a bad way to start off a business relationship with someone is to call and wake up a new client at 8:22 am and ask them to fax something, wrongly assuming that they have access to a fax machine where they are.
annoyed, but sadly necessarily still yours,
LK
p.s.
as soon as i finish dealing with opening my damn account, be certain i will find myself a comment card. because calling someone at 8:22 is just not necessary.
my god, why is it so damn difficult to prove where i live??? ok, i suppose it would help if i just get myself a damn iowa driver's license, but that will have to wait until august for sure. it would probably make the most sense to wait until december. i mean, won't i have to get it renewed again when i turn 21? or will i just have to keep one of those goofy vertical under-21 IDs until it expires? i don't know. i think i'll just wait til december. i'm lazy.
i took a trip to the post office today to get my mail from school forwarded home. what was that forwarding card we filled out at school? has anyone else had mail forwarded? because i certainly have not. i figured that out when i never received the bill for my last car payment. fortunately i thought about this the day before it was due, and i went online and signed up for online payments. so i tried to have my mail forwarded by the post office online. but it wouldn't let me, because apparently one of my addresses is not considered residential. i certainly hope that would be my loras address. but, wtf. i live there... seems pretty residential to me. whatever. so i guess i'll have to go back to the post office again pretty soon to reverse the forwarding. i should just get a whole pile of the forwarding post cards.
today and tomorrow are my days off. after the last few days, it's kind of nice. work has been pretty crazy.
i've spent seven consecutive days attempting to work on my freshness project. in the process, i've managed to find candy bars that expired during my junior year of high school.
but i've also learned that freshness and FIFO aren't really enough of a priority to get this done.
i've made it as far as the back of lane 8... so i've got 7.5 lanes to go.
maybe thursday?
not likely.
i've been just running around like a chicken with my head cut off instead.
just during my shift yesterday, i managed to play GSTL, work in the fitting room as operator, help in guest service, work in the photo lab, put away softlines stray, and back-up cashier at the lanes. oh, yeah... and i tried to work on freshness.
i've started to wonder what how melia deals with stuff when i'm not there. she already had everyone mad at her, and i was the only one available to fix the problems for her:
*photo lab was behind (because she doesn't give rebecca enough hours to schedule people to actually keep up...) - i'm the only one who is OSHA trained.
*guest service needed breaks and back-ups - i was the only one fully-trained in guest service... so i just kept an eye on guest service while i was working in photo lab to help tim when he needed it, since tim really didn't know how to do anything but a basic return.
*the operator needed breaks - i was the only one trained on the phones
*the GSTL needed breaks - once again, i was the only one trained at guest service, and the GSTL needs to know how to help them
ugh
melia's going on a year in the store...
ETL-GSes don't usually stay much over a year...
all the team leads are impatiently awaiting her transfer
as am i
interesting... the law and order: CI i just watched involved anthrax... as did the SVU that was on NBC tonight

saturday night
it was nice to see becca
even if it was pretty short
i was probably pretty crabby
but it was still nice to see her
i hope the trip back to the madcity was good
today i decided i needed the wicked vocal songbook
so i took a trip to schmitt music in edina
it was a good reminder of social class divisions
schmitt music is in the galleria, which is this fancy-schmancy mall for rich people, including stores like tiffany's
i normally just park right by schmitt and don't go anywhere else in there
but they're currently building a parking ramp over my former parking spot
therefore, i had to walk through the mall
my river valley dance academy t-shirt and i got some really quality looks
the best came a guy in a suit with his young daughter - that's good, let's teach our children
trust me, it wasn't my first reminder this week of why, if i ever end up living in the twi'ties, i will most definitely be in chaska, chanhassen or carver
right now i'm kinda tempted to watch the video of my last dance recital and try to find steph
i said i was going to do that when i got home
and i haven't yet
i just think it's so funny that we figured out at baccalaureate rehearsal that we once danced together
well... we shared a stage for the big finale, anyway
but she did have class with some of the girls on the show team with me
it's kinda weird... we had our last recital together, and we didn't meet for another 6 years
heh
tomorrow i have a shopping date with meredith to find me a cute outfit to wear to wicked next week
my mom has an awesome new skirt, so i have to look cute too, right?
i'm making progress on the book. i think i can finish it by monday.
maybe i'll just go read myself to sleep...
:-)
for the first time, i finally feel... wicked.
