Back To Two Arms

Well, what do you know? Today was busy! But what’s new, right?

Training all day. Ditched the sling. Painful, but manageable. It’s going to be stiff and sore come morning, but I’ve got physio and massages to take care of it, and it’ll be strapped up. But if we want a shot at this, I need to be in full training.

And it all went pretty well, I must say. Jayden came in a watched a bit this morning, before he went to work. He was impressed, but I think he’d be nice to us even if it was terrible! LOL.

Then this afternoon, it was all about netball. Last practice game before the tournament next week. And again, we totally won. Flogged. And we’re still undefeated. Being a goal shooter and having a sore shoulder isn’t ideal, but I think it worked okay. I scored 45 out of our 60 goals. Not my best effort, but still okay. We won, after all!

And I umpired two games. Lots of running, blowing whistles and arm gestures. The first game was a bunch of 11 and 12 year olds, and I was watching and I noticed that more than half of them were wearing knee/ankle/anything else strapping and braces for support. Is that normal? I understand older teens and adults wearing them, but at 11 and 12? I’m pretty sure I never wore them…

Anyway, and the second team I umpired for, which was after our game, had a very sharp vocabulary. And not in a good way! The other team was lovely. But it was so cold in there. But Jayden was there watching, and brought me hot chocolate. So all was right. He’d just finished work and he’d come to watch us play, as usual. And everyone stares at him because he’s in his uniform. As he said, people ignore him completely, or are overly happy and smiling at him. LOL.

More training tomorrow. What else is there!

That’s all for tonight. Time for a warm bath, I’d say. And that’s saying something… I hate baths! I always sit there wondering what I could be doing instead of sitting there and soaking. Anyway….

Best wishes,
