Well, I'm here. Got a last minute call late last night. It all happened so quickly. And now I'm here with Erin in London. Britt is currently on her way to Barcelona as we speak.
It's nice to be in some company again. Was a bit lonely. Now Britt will have that, hopefully not for too long though. We've made it to London; now just to reach Spain!
Back home, things are a disaster. Storms have ripped through Perth and caused massive damage.
And Ruby's gotten out in all the confusion. I'm guessing she was terrified by the storm. When they first noticed she was gone, it hadn't been long apparently, because Ruby had been with them just minutes before. Still no news. I just hope they find her, or she comes home soon.
My apartment in Perth city has been badly damaged, given it was in one of the buildings where the 'mini landslide' happened. Thankfully, I'm told the people who lease it from us are okay. But it's pretty badly damaged. But as long as they are okay... I think all those affected like they were ended up at the Perth Convention Centre.
Mum and Dad were meant to be in Sydney this morning, but flights in and out of Perth were badly delayed. Even if I wanted to come home, I couldn't! Disaster zone. The warnings have been lifted though now, and flights are back. But Mum and Dad cancelled their meetings and have stayed in Perth.
It makes you worry, given I'm so far away. And now with Ruby...
Jayden was out all night. Part of the job I guess! And this morning, he apparently said he was directing traffic at one of the major intersections due to traffic lights being out. Talk about havic... Guess though, that's what you get when you're in that field of work. Pouring with rain and out direting traffic... maybe it's a good thing I'm not in the police force for real! I'm happy to keep acting it, not 'really' living it! LOL
So yes, now Erin and I await in London. Let's see how this goes... But since we're here, we'll make the most of it and see and do what we can around London. It seems amazing!
