Just Terrific...
We've had an interesting day. That's one way to put it anyway.
Jayden and Jamie came away with the crown again this year. Matt and his co-driver placed 3rd. But we'd barely started with the celebrating when the dramas started.
It seems Matt has already made up his mind about going to Queensland, or not. He's going. He says it will be easier than finding a new partner and sponsorship. That's when it really hit Britt. We weren't there when he actually told her, we just saw the fallout. And it wasn't pretty.
But she seemed to be okay, considering. She was coping well under the circumstances. Then a little while later, we were still at the track and it turned into an issue. We were watching this domestic unfold in front of us. We left them to it for privacy. It was quite sad. Then Britt stormed off, and we had no idea where she went. Matt came back to us a few minutes later and told us she'd gone, but he couldn't talk to her; she wouldn't let him. Talk about stubborn.
So we went looking for her. But we still have no idea where she is. And this was this afternoon. It's now heading for 11pm and we have no idea where she is. I'm supposed to be working at 5am as well, but we're trying to find her.
I'm feeling completely useless at the moment. I'm at home because a) I can't drive at the moment and b) apparently it's better to have someone at home in case she was to come back.
She's not answering her phone; we keep getting voicemail. And no one seems to know where she is. Hopefully she's at a friend's place tonight, so she can cool off until the morning.
And I'm waiting to hear from my overseas friend. I got my times mixed up and she's going in about now. I have my fingers crossed for her...
And hopefully for Britt as well. And Matt. I'm kind of angry at him for how he handled it, but it's not his fault completely. I just hope they can sort it out.
