Big House
I feel like living in community with all my christian friends. I want to buy us all a big house so we can all live in it. We will eat big bowls of scrambled eggs and and feel great and stuffed with love. In the afternoons, we will all go to our respective jobs and we will feel mundane, but when we go back to the house, God will be there, and we will be there, and life will be revolving around Jesus and his love. We'll have a big dining room and we'll all cook and eat together in fellowship. We'll sing songs of worship in the living room and have our church there, right in the family room. THAT wil be our church.
Churches need to stop trying to figure out how to hook people into coming to their services and start trying to figure out how to love people. People need community. They need to be around people who love Jesus, and they need that support group. Live and love and feel Jesus all the time.
I hope someday my house will be like this. We don't need a huge, impersonal church building, we can use a big house, that everyone can live in. As it says in the Bible, the first greatest commandment is to the love the Lord your God, and the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. You see, the hippies got it right. The greatest thing is to love, but if God is not in it, then it means NOTHING.
I have discovered the band mutemath! It's AMAZING.
Also, I will probably be getting engaged in at least a month. Weird, right?
