Prompt 5!!
Hey everyone... time for my delightful prompt # 5!!!
In The Sweetheart of Somg Tra Bong it tells us that the nature of Vietnam changes you. You go over there as one person and while being there and going home you brings along the changes you made while being in Vietnam. An example of these changes would be when Mark brings over his highschool sweetheart, Mary Anne Bell. Before Mary came to Vietnam the two were high school sweethearts and she was a typical highschool girl. Toghether the two planned out their whole life, including their kids. When Mary was on the island she changed, her and Mark were no longer sweethearts. She started hanging around with the green berets. Vietnam supposedly changes you and the way you act. Mary Anne Bell was definetly changed by going to vietnam.
Some questions for you:
1.) Do you think that the way really changes you that much?
2.) What do you think happened to Mary Anne Bell in the end of the story?
