My new place!

Hello! So recently (or well, not really, since I've been here for two months now) I got my very own casa! There's been so much restoration and decorating that needed doing, but now I'm finally done. Well, 98% done. Probably 95%. I swear, there's always something more to do.

It's a rental, and it's from the early 60's I believe, so most of it is old as something-we-don't-mention-in-polite-company, but it's mine and I love it so much. So I thought I'd share it with you! (Also because epicflailer asked me to, and we all know the drill around here, whatever she wants she gets.)

(Just in advance, apologies for what are bound to be crappy pictures. My camera wasn't cooperating, so I had to use my phone. TECHNOLOGY, YOU FICKLE FIEND.)

Welcome! So these are the pictures that greet you in the hallway before you enter my living room. (There's no reason to take pictures of my hallway, as it's teeny tiny and only has a cupboard and yes.) The pictures are from UUPP on Etsy, should you be interested! I had the middle one custom made though.

I decorated my room at my parents' in beige tones, and it stayed that way for five years, and while I absolutely loved that room, I most definitely needed color this time around. In case you couldn't tell. Ahem. But yes! My living room!

Artwork over my couch. I bought them from Tracey Capone on Etsy, one of the first things I bought last summer before I even had an apartment. I just fell in love with her pictures, and knew that that picture of the cherry blossom tree was going to lift my mood every time I looked at it. Definitely wasn't wrong. ♥

More of my living room. :D

Bedroom time! I don't know how obvious it is here, but that one wall is a light green. Super soothing.

MY VANITY, AKA MY LOVE, THE LIGHT OF MY LIFE, ETC ETC.

That wallsticker seriously took three hours to do. I was stressing so hardcore that my mom just ended up sitting there quietly and handed me the stickers as I went, lolol. Bless her.

Most of my base furniture is either Ikea or Ilva, by the way. If you don't have an Ilva near you I weep on your behalf. They kick Ikea's butt ANY day.

My wardrobe. :DDDDDD LOOK HOW BIG.

And now it's my little dining area, connected to the kitchen!

I'm so in love with those bar stools it's not even funny.

My kitchen! Which, with this particular apartment, came fully renovated, which was mostly why I so desperately wanted this particular place. It's gorgeous and there's SO much countertop space for how small it is. Love love love. The walls here are a pastel yellow, by the way, I can't tell how well the pictures pick up the wall colors.

Last, but not least, bathroom! Which I hate immensely for the tiles that you aren't allowed to replace and the floor you aren't allowed to cover, but ah well, I did what I could with it. The walls in here are a pastel purple.

My view. My courtyard is a lush green area with a playground and tons of trees. Basically couldn't have asked for anything more. I get the sun directly over the building across from mine. Annoying for picture time, gorgeous during sunsets.

There we go! Here is my new home. And you are ALWAYS welcome. ♥

Also, please keep your fingers crossed for me tomorrow! I'm finding out whether I got another job or not, and I need to get away from my current place so badly. It's ridiculous how hard it's gotten to get up and go to work each day, basically, so yes. Any good luck you have would be much appreciated!

moi: my new casa, moi: that real life thing, media: pretty pictures
