I'm going to do these in the order y'all commented in. So, without further ado, first one up is:

Why She Rocks My Socks

I've known JM for a little over a year now, but it's only in the past six months or so that we've been talking over AIM. I can say that she's a safe haven for me. She's the only one that I can talk to about my Boys love these days, where I don't feel like she's rolling her eyes at me on her side of the screen. She loves those Boys as much as I do, if not more, and she's always more than happy to go teenybopper-crazy over them. That actually means a lot. I don't feel like I have to censor myself when I talk to her.

She's the biggest AJ fan in the universe. There's just no contest. It makes me smile, because when everyone else is looking at Nick's eyes or his lips, you can be sure JM will go, "look at that little dot that is AJ in the background! He is SO HOT." She knows, like, everything about him. Where he bought his jeans, when he last shaved, what color his nails are, what dogs he currently own (which I sure as hell can't keep up with.) She's devoted, and loyal, and that also crosses over to the friendships she has online, from what I've seen. Those are such important character traits to have, and she's got 'em, full force.

Not only that, but she's incredibly talented. I'm always surprised when she claims that she's not a writer, because what I've seen so far has been amazing. There's a very unique pace to her work - it flows in a way I very rarely see these days. Stories that spring to mind are this wonderful AJ/Kevin snippet, Hair of the Dog and Sing. All of them are, I feel, very graceful in the way they progress and develop. I do wish she would write more often.

To me she's also very strong, and very brave. She juggles a lot. She's by herself in a country that certainly isn't foreign now, but I'm sure was when she first arrived. But she's doing it all, man - studying hard, living in a gorgeous city all on her own, and I get the impression that she loves it. I admire her a lot, because she took a big step that she felt was right for her. Really, so many kudos.

And still manages to know everything that goes on in fandom (usually :) She's quick to help people out when they ask for footage, and if there's something worth squeeing over, you can be sure she'll let you know. I guess that's why fandom decided to finally give her what she wanted most in return - Letterboys pictures! That weren't manips! The squeals could be heard across three continents that day. :D

I'm lucky to have met her, and I hope we'll be in touch for a long time to come. :)

Anyone else? :)
