Christmas Busyness...
If that makes any sense at all but i've been working my ass off since november for this glorious holiday so i'm sorry for my inconveinient disappearences every so often. but here's some of the scoop since november.
November:
Working. Every weekend working so i could buy decent gifts this year. Seemed to work quite well. Tip to you though, next time you go to a deli be nice to whoever is slicing your meat for you. It's not always easy. I know i've come across some really rude customers and i was on the verge of snapping. "well safeway has that in their stores..." I bloody hate it when i hear that. I mean if safeway is so awsome than why don't you just go there instead?!?! sorry. i had to vent just a little. During the last two weeks of november i got all of my christmas shopping done. yes. done before december. WOOO! I got some pretty cool stuff but the hardest was my cousin all she wanted was clothes. But i swear there's only three types of shirts that she wears and she already has EVERY COLOR. It was so annoying. She won't wear tee shirts, tank tops, most shirts. She likes thin sweaters and turtlenecks. She won't wear prints or bright colors only neutral colors. So i found a sweater that she might not have yet. i got it in light gray. any other color may have been too much. Other than her the gifts were a breeze!
First week of december:
Christmas tree!!! Wrapping presents!!!
Next week:
Giving and recieving presents!!!
Now:
Did most of my christmas baking and gave them away in little tin boxes. Layer one was chocolate chip cookies, layer two were pinwheels, and layer three were florentine cookies and nut clusters to fill the empty spaces of the tin. I made it ALL myself. It felt good. I love baking.
