As in all things, I'm terribly spastic and belated, but here it is ( Read more... )

I agree with your #1,#4, and #10 with the epitome of head-noddingness. *nods head frantically*

Also, this is sort of like your #3 but I have this hatred, utter hatred (like, I fill with rage and disgust and want to rip things or pull off my skin or gnash my teeth) and certain patterns and textures. Fish scales is a big one. The honeycomb pattern is also a huge offender since it's FRICKING EVERYWHERE. Like you mentioned, clusters of dots or holes.... I had no idea there was a thing for it but I can't STAND particular patterns or textures.
#2 when my mum gives me the 'YOU ARE ALWAYS LATE' rant every time we go out. Like, fark, I can't help it but you giving that rant makes me want to push you out of the car while it's still moving, woman!
#3 people on public transport who listen to music too loud or don't share 50% of the seat with you or things like that
#4 people who don't blow their noses when they should. Like, everytime I have an exam, *I* get the seat next to the snotty kid who does the SNIIIIIF (which is the nasal equivilent to a slurp if you ask me) every 15 seconds when if you just put your hand up and ask for a tissue, they bring you the whole box. I also carry at least 2 hankies on me at all times, because I'm thoughtful like that. But jesus, it's just so damn rude and disgusting.
#5 people who chew with their mouth open or slurp or like you said, make those icky noises while they eat or drink
#6 people who say they hate something like Twilight or Harry Potter or the Hunger Games or Taylor Swift or Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana just because a) they've never given it a try or b) they're just trying to make fun of you. Don't tease someone about what they like because to them, your taste in music is probably shit too.
#7 religious people who are hypocrites. This is like 80% of the Christians I know and/or went to high school with
#8 the government's attitude to asylum seekers. Like, here hardworking Australians are already suffering because it's one of the most expensive places to live, resources are suffering and taxes are getting higher (wtf was with the carbon tax?! DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THAT?) and they're trying to cram more people in when we just don't have the capacity. It's making it so hard for ussss to earn money and buy bananas
#9 shaving. It's annoying and awkward and boring and tedious. Still, I'd rather do my legs once a week or two than my face every day...
#10 periods. Like, what the hell? I know I have menorrhagia and apparantly normal periods aren't supposed to be so bad, but WHY? It's so unfair.

I feel muuuuuuuch better after that. What do you know, that was highly theraputic! I'm going to put this entry to my memories so I can reflect on how good the ranting was later.

Also, my NRY is to have a kickass 2012 (that means do as much awesome stuff as I can do, because a Do resolution is so much easier to keep than a Don't). What's yours?

hehe, wasn't that nice? Glad I could be of service in making this new year already, um, awesome, basically! Your resolution is kickass itself. Mine is to a) meet at least like, 3 new people here and find my nitch, b) get my body back into equilibrium, meaning out of this weird rut it's in right now with my nutrients and exercise balance, and c) stellar pwn everybody in my program. jk about the last one, but only sort of. more wishful thinking than a resolution, maybe? Dude, I have so many. Another entry list, eh?

I think I nodded to every single one of your bother-list items. Is that bad? I actually have a much longer running list (it's supposed to keep me writing, at any rate) on my LJ of everything that basically bothers me at all. You should try it! If you think this was therapeutic, that'll work wonders for your sanity. I'm especially a fan of your SNIFF observation (I HATE that--bodily disgustingness combined with distraction is the worst habit!), and I hatehatehatehatewanttoscratchthewalloffhatehate things like honeycomb or that moss that grows on the side of rocks. UGH. Biological haywire? Oh, and you'll have to tell me about the carbon tax because--what. The heck. Is. That.

OH and maybe I just missed this on my flist, but how is/was your vacation to America???

Those are excellent resolutions my friend haha!

It makes me feel so much better knowing that I'm not the only one who can't stand things like that and also reacts as strongly to honeycomb.

Well you know how the world leaders decided everyone was causing too much pollution and it had to cut down? Julia Gillard decided to try to push for a Carbon Tax, where you have a limit of like 3% of what we currently use per household and if you go over that (which you definitely will) then you have to pay this hefty fine. Which means not only are you paying more on your household bills but everything you buy becomes astromonically more expensive. So basically, Australians would have to move to other countries because it'd be too expensive to live there anymore. But no other country has proposed a tax as a means of lowering co2 levels, they all came up with more practical solutions that their citizens didn't have to pay for. It's ridiculous. And what's worse is it passed in the something or other (the first stage of becoming a law) and is being proposed to the second stage now. Which is dumb since all the politicians who voted yes for it can pay for it with their outrageous salaries. ARG! Rant #11 much?

Oh America isn't until the end of this year. I have to work 3 days a week for the rest of the year to save up for it :C Derrg it's so expensive! :(

what in the worlllllld Australia, what are you doing? That sounds absolutely ridiculous and I'll say it again. Australia, that is ridiculous!! I hope it doesn't pass, otherwise you're going to have to start paying every time the cows outside pass gas or something of epic ridiculousness proportions.

And oooops. Didn't you go on a trip this past week?? Whereabouts in America are you headed, do you know yet?

Oh! Yeah I just went to Perth in Western Australia last week which was fun. It's where Sydney is but on the other side of the country. And the week after next I am going to NZ! How exciting!

As for Americaland, I will link you to my post of travel plans since I've got it all sorted out to a T! http://sailorem.livejournal.com/131174.html

Oh and I found this post while I was looking for the previous one. It's the stuff for number 11 that I want to do http://sailorem.livejournal.com/134927.html

Yes! I totally don't mind for all those giant corps (the mining/fossil fuel industries most specifically) paying extra because it'd force them to switch to greener options since they would do anything for profit and are the reason our emissions are so great. I should write to Julia Gillard this week. It's my letter writing week so I should get on that. But yeah, making families pay? That's just not on :\ They are hardly the biggest offenders (although there are those rich people who do things like waste water, constantly run air con and washing machines and dryers etc when they could open their windows for the breeze or hang out their clothing outside or something) and it's just not fair when the banks are so aggressive with their interest rates since most Aussie families have mortgages or huge debts of some kind.

As for immigration, I agree completely! I reckon offshore processing would at least help because everybody just thinks that by boating it here, they can automatically come in. But that just means we have to detain them while we evaluate whether they desperately need to be here or just want to be. Asylum seekers/refugees sure have my double vote, but that's it. All those riots they keep making in our detention centres that end up with them blowing them up or setting them on fire? We pay for with our taxes. Yeah, and they want us to let them in after that?

And yeah, I'm totally ace when it comes to ranting. I'm a very complainable person xD
