This is the piece I've written in class when we were given plastic lungs and we were supposed to write about what we see:
World burns to the ground
It’s dry, rough and damaged
Our shelter is breaking, cracking up
So many years of history falling apart
Everything divides
What will we do now?
It looks like thousand little states
How are we going to put it back together?
Something so alive and diverse turned into sand…
The soil looks so powerless
But what is this?
I see a bigger hole..
When you look closer you can see water!
And there is blood, blood that came from all the fights and wars
Nothing is gone
We are saved!
No matter what happens we can pull it back together
There is more to this, I know.
You’ll live to tell…
I've posted this "poem" here because it's the first piece I am actually proud of and it took me just 15 minutes to write it. Some people might be thinking what's this supposed to do with lungs. well, i didn't think about lungs as an organ while I was writing this. I was sitting right in front of the model so I've focused on the structure and the colors and voila!
