(no subject)

I'm working on setting up a new archive. I'd like to have some sort of "quality control" in place to weed out fics that make our eyes bleed when we try to read them (TONS of mis-spellings, no grammar to speak of, no paragraph breaks, etc.). The only two ways that I can come up with to do this are to make it by invitation only or to simply have some sort of approval system in place. Invitation only seems too exclusive, but the only approval required site that I am familiar with has repeatedly faced accusations of being inordinately rude and exclusionary. Can anyone point me to a site with a well written submission guideline and policy in place that works?

And yes, I do realize that a lot of people really hate archives that attempt any sort of quality control. I know that it's a touchy subject. That being said, if my initial experience with fandom had been at a non-quality controlled site like FF.net, I would likely have run for the hills instead of sticking around like I have. And I am convinced that there is a way to do this without setting the standard so high that it excludes nearly everyone, and without being rude about it. I just don't quite know what it is yet.

So, thoughts, suggestions, links? I'll be greatly appreciative.
