(no subject)
So I went to a leadership conference today for Student Council. It was pretty cool. The speaker talked about how if you don't stand for anything, you will fall for everything. Basically saying that being "real" is the best thing to be. Everyone tries to be different or unique in some way, that now just being yourself is "different". I guess everyone's guilty of changing their personality slightly to please people.
After the conference, I came home and took a 3 hour nap. It was nice to finally be able to have some free time where I could just chill and relax a little bit.
Some people went over Lauren's tonight to hang out and do whatever. So we started watching "The Girl Next Door" and I kept joking with Lauren's mom that we were watching porn. Then, just at the right moment, she walked in the room and some porn scene flashed on the TV. It completely came out of nowhere. One second there is a kid taking out the garbage, the next there is a tv with porn playing on it. I think she was actually pretty irritated.
Bush won re-election today. Which is a great thing for our country. The sad thing is, half the people that voted for Kerry did so because they did not like Bush, and vice versa. I don't understand that. If you don't like one candidate, it doesn't mean that you should automatically vote for the other. Oh well, I guess everyone has their reasons.
