God I hate being sick. But it was worse last night, so I guess I can be grateful for that little bit of improvement. Every morning, I'm waking up and my throat feels like someone's been choking me all night long. Hot soup has been my friend these past couple of days....
So, the semester looks ok so far. I dropped an English class that was being taught by a 200 year old man that looked like Woody Allen. The class is Childhood/Adolescent Literature; by that, one would assume that the class requires you to read and analyze young adult books. Apparently, the class was designed to be taught one of two ways - he doesn't like that way. Instead, he assigned books written by adults for other adults with children as the focal characters. Fuck that, I'll pass. The other guy that teaches the class (hopefully, he'll be teaching it in the fall) uses children's books... and one of the required texts for his class is one of the Harry Potter books, plus "The Lion, The With and the Wardrobe." I think waiting for him to teach it will be well worth my time.
I replaced that class with another PSY class - Research/Writing for the Social Sciences. It seems pretty good, the teacher is this rather amusing little black woman. She seems very cool and laid back. That makes 4 PSY classes this semester. I need 4 more A's to get my major GPA high enough for PsiChi (Psychology National Honor Society), so I'll be busting my ass this semester on those classes. Then I'll get my internship out of the way this summer and only have to take 12 credits both semesters of my senior year.
OK, done rambling now....
