The Morning After
Who: Jack and any Torchwood people who want to join in.
When: Morning, after that first night back in the Hub.
Where: The Hub.
What: Jack's first morning after having ACTUAL SLEEP for the first time in a year. For him.
Status: Incomplete.
Jack was in no hurry to get out of bed, even though he knew it was later in the morning than he generally went to work. He liked to be there when everyone else arrived. He got up when Ianto did (obscenely early). Typically. Not that morning.
He stretched luxuriously, enjoying the softness and warmth of the blankets against his skin. He was tempted to stay there all day, except he was looking forward to Ianto's coffee in the worst way and he was excited to get back to work with the team.
He got up slowly, grabbing clean clothes from a drawer. His own clean clothes, neatly folded where he'd left them. He glanced at the wardrobe door. He was tempted to look inside and see if any of Ianto's suits and shirts were still there or if he'd removed them while Jack was gone, but Jack was in a great mood and if Ianto's clothes were gone... he didn't want to know yet. He wanted to keep the elated feeling he was having for as long as possible.
He dressed and climbed up the ladder into his office, seating himself behind the desk and breathing the Hub's familiar air deeply.
