After nearly being sucked into a black hole by something that thought of itself as Satan itself, Rose had insisted that they needed a little bit of relaxation. The Doctor had known of a place that uninhabited but that she would enjoy.
They had done a bit of sightseeing. The Doctor had taken Rose to a lovely little planet that was full of sunny beaches because she had joked that he had never taken a real vacation. Well, he hadn't, but now he could say that he had, even if they had only been there for two days. It had been nice for them to spend a little time away from the constant life and death situations that they usually spent their time in.
Although, for him, it HAD been a tad boring. He was just so used to constantly having to fight for his life in some shape or form that maybe he really couldn't relax. That was probably a bad thing, wasn't it? He knew that Rose would say so. It had been Rose that insisted on a little holiday, after all.
"So," he looked to Rose, "where do you think we should head next? I've always heard that the 1960s in America is fun this time of year." Seemed like it would be amusing, and it wouldn't be sitting around for two days (he had no understanding as to why humans liked to just sit around for days on end and call it a 'vacation).
