SETTING: Pre-Angel (sometime before Gunn met Angel)
How did I survive the night? The way I always do - I let my axe do the talking. Out here, it’s the only way TO survive. Nobody cares about us, and frankly I don’t want their pity. It’s a kill or be killed life, and I know which side I’m on. All I know is I want to protect my sister and keep my crew alive. I’ve already given up what little future I have for them, and if I had to do it over again I would do the exact same thing. We lost another one two nights ago and I won’t let it happen again. To all you vamps thinking of moving into our ‘hood, you better think twice before Charles Gunn cuts you down to size.
