The once close knit group was gone. The people who once shared one body and mind to beat evil were now acting like casual acquaintances. They lived in the same house, but the space between was bigger than ever before.
The deep connection was gone. They spoke, but none of them heard or understood the other. The once familiar gestures and looks and voices were like a foreign language to them now.
The touch was gone. One of them could go untouched, and the others didn’t even notice.
The friends were gone, leaving behind four soldiers to fight the war.
