I'm back from my trip to KL and Bangkok.
I had the best time. I made a travel journal which documents most of it which I will scan and post here along with some piccies. Saves me typing everything out.
For anyone who can't be bothered loading pictures or reading my messy handwriting:
Thailand:
chutuchuk markets - I could have spent sooooo much money if I wasn't trying to be good (or if I went towards the end of te trip rather than the beginning) I will definitely be going back there again.
Temples - reclining buddha and emerald buddha. absolutely breathtaking.
Baiyoke sky tower - a great place to go on your first night in Bangkok. Have a drink the the skybar, then go up to the revolving platform and see how HUGE the place is.
Shopping - I didn't know what a shopping mall was until I went to Bangkok. hooooooly crap. Don't just wear flat shoes. wear the most comfortable shoes you can possibly find and consider taking some painkillers so that you can keep walking through the pain in your feet after the HOURS you will spend shopping if you're anything at all like me.
Pat Pong - i'd rather not talk about it. But the markets weren't too bad from what I saw. There's an english pub too.
KL:
Hard rock is good but not as good as the bali one.
Take a day trip up to Kuala Gandar Elephant Sanctuary. Swim with elephants. Donate generously.
Then continue onto the genting highlands and take the genting skyway up to the top of the clouds. Even just the ride is amazing.
Oh there's more than this but I don't feel like typing at the moment. Journal pages to come later tonight.
