I absolutely agree with this. (Someone filmed that question with Nick, I am relatively certain, because I remember seeing it and being like OH MY GOD).
I mean, you know I pretty much hate the I'm-locking-my-fic-and-squee-so-the-boys-won't-know-it-exists attitude because fuck that, the boys are going to inevitably have stumbled upon fic/fandom squee of some kind at some point in their lives, and even though I know it's not, it just seems overwhelmingly self-centered to me to have this viewpoint that you are going to be the straw that breaks the camel's back and stops the bromantic touching or whatever.
And honestly, to a certain degree, I have no problem with the question being asked once, jokingly, to gauge the guys' reactions a la SPN. I'm not in that fandom, but I know a fair amount about how the actors play it up, and if one of the guys had been like HELL YEAH LET ME EMBRACE MY BUDS in response, then hey, repeat the question all the time, fuck, whatever. Although the rules get sketchy when it comes to rpf, I don't think fandom should be (or can be) some big secret from the world at large, or even should be something to feel guilty about. But the fact is that (for the most part) everyone in the band looks acutely uncomfortable when asked (...mostly), and the polite thing to do is conform to etiquette and decency and hey, maybe not ask again ever. Much less every single day. And with the amount of immaturity floating around in this fandom- and, no, I am not actually limiting that to teenagers and tweens, the older crowd is ridic guilty as well- I'm relatively certain they probably do get asked about it constantly. The thing that I think people forget a lot of the time is that, in actuality, it isn't really okay and/or our business to hypothesize about anyone's relationship, with whatever gender. It's extremely problematic and entitled to think we have any right to know, but at the same time, it's going to happen. Hardcore fans want to have a relationship with whoever they idolize, and part of that often involves being extraordinarily nosy. That doesn't make it okay by any means, but inevitably the question will be asked, and I will grudgingly give it that one time pass. If the celebrities in question go on to endorse their romance/bromance/girlmance it implies that they are willing to get that close with their fanbase. If they don't? Then said fanbase should back the hell off.
Now. All of that out of the way, I will add this. Logan needs to soldier up, because I am relatively positive he has attended at least one party where there were drunk girls, and he, like basically every twenty something guy I've ever met, likely tried to get them to kiss and thought it was totally okay. He just gives me that vibe.
