So, I've been asked to participate in an 'Ask the Artist' for the BTR community and all. Here it is!
Tell us a little about yourself? Anything.
How did you get into art in the fandom?
Basically, whenever I see pretty boys, I like to draw them. Not girls, because I hate drawing curves. I sketch better on paper, to, by the way. But I like drawing boys: the angles of their bodies, and how all their facial structures are different from one another. On top of these boys being aesthetically appealing to any artist's eye, they have very unique features. Especially Logan- his face is like my Art Wonderland. I love practicing realism with it.
What tools do you use for your art work? What's your favorite medium? (Visual examples if you can/want please?)
My good old trusty sketch book, any pencil or pen, and computer paper when it comes to traditional media. When I draw digitally, I use my Bamboo Wacom tablet and PaintTool Sai on none other then Nacho, my laptop.
What do you generally do to get into the zone?
Anything, really. I listen to music, I look at photos on tumblr, I read a fanfiction or two (especially Cassie's)... or even when I roleplay with my best friend. Our roleplays inspire me in that I draw scenes from those. She has hundreds of BTR drawings from me based on those. But music is always a must. My playlist ranges from Atreyu to Paramore to The Used to One Direction... I have such a variety of music that it's rare none of the songs on my iPod inspire me.
Who's art do you draw inspiration from? (In any way. Emotionally. Abstractly. Whatever.)
Uhm, no one in particular. Sometimes Tite Kubo's (the author of the manga Bleach) style inspires me to improve!
What's your general technique look like? (Again, visual examples if you would.)
P.S. I can barely draw Kendall's new hair.
