Big Time Terror
Hey everyone! I'm stepping in to host the episode discussion of the week for my all-time favorite, Big Time Terror!
When this episode premiered just over two years ago I was so impressed with how good this one was that it made me want to finally start buying the series on iTunes and purposely re-watching episodes, I watched this one like fifty times within a couple of months after it premiered. This one episode had pretty much everything I could want or hope for.
Some notable things to get the discussion going:
+ This was the first time we heard their song, "Stuck" and it was in this really sweet acoustic setting.
+ Now how were the 90s so wild that Gustavo got on LA's Hotel Unwelcome List? XD
+ "Fishstick Friday...with tots!" sounds yummy!
+ There is nothing not dirty in the video game title "BioHazard Blast 4: Rise of Crotchy."
+ You can sure count on the boys to make you feel like a kid.
+ Really, how did "the ghost" stack all of that furniture so quickly?
+ Silly James, why are you smiling while looking away when you could be looking at a girl's back and why do you think her shoulders were that high up anyway? Also regarding this montage in the scene, it was one of the earliest times where I noticed how well they made things go along with the lyrics of the song played.
+ "Day 1: Three minutes into the investigation. Paranormal Prognosis: Carlos is stupid!" and "It's 2:03 and there are no such things as ghosts, and Carlos is still stupid!" and the whole fishing net/ecto-net thing.
+ "So, I can see why you guys love that pool, but I'm surprised you don't have more friends" "They all washed away!"
+ "This is better than PayPerView." So true, Katie, so true.
+ Oh Kelly, you get us all sympathetic for Gustavo then say that his fun needs to be ruined.
+ Snore in the Dark: "Bad, right?" "Terrible." No, that was awesome.
+ "I believe in the doodoos in my pants!" and "We should moon Gustavo and the ghost?"
+ So many references to things of the horror/ghost story/mystery genre. Stephen King, Scooby Doo, Ghostbusters, and I swear it feels like there were a few for Danny Phantom. Any other references people found?
+ Music video! "Shot in the Dark" was my favorite until the BTR album came out. Do you think we'll ever hear the full version? I at least want to know who sings the other verse, I bet it's James since Carlos and Logan sing the bridge. I had also really took notice in Carlos' singing voice for the first real time in it here, was taken aback by its distinct sound.
+ Who else misses Stephanie King? =(
+ What other pranks and things do you think Katie has done with that fishing line and do you think she's ever been caught?
