Hey, guess what, I'm still alive! Since I'm alive, and you're alive, and today is a Monday, let's discuss an episode.
Big Time Blogger is all about Big Time Rush the band - who they are as people, what makes them tick, and what their music is all about. They get interviewed by a popular blogger named Deke (I see your nod to Perez Hilton, Scott Fellows), and although he isn't impressed with them at first, he later changes his mind due to the boys' endearing naiveté and general cuteness.
Just kidding! They lock him in a closet and chase him through the air ducts and imprison him in a trashcan. You know, general boy band antics. He is so confused yet charmed by them that he gives BTR his okay and ends up writing a good article about them. To be honest, who wouldn't be charmed? I know I would.
Carlos' reaction when he sees Deke is sort of the best thing ever:
That was a good moment for him.
I laughed when I was making this screencap, you guys. Logan and James are staring at Deke in straight up disgust. Ugh, how dare he exist!
There's a funny moment where Deke decides to interview them through the door of the closet they've locked him in, but they don't know that it's only a tape recorder saying the words. He's asking them questions when his battery dies. Logan is genuinely concerned about it before he remembers that Deke is not a robot. I don't know, their reactions made me laugh.
I'm just going to say it: Logan rocked this episode okay. He was my favorite when I first got into BTR, but then Kendall happened and I sort of forgot about him. Lately though...he's making a comeback. A big one.
My favorite part of the whole episode is the cold open when the boys are shooting footage for the future BTR website. Each boy's footage is him in a nutshell basically.
Carlos is a badass risk taker always looking for adventure.
Kendall is just a hockey player from Minnesota.
James is fierce, fabulous, flawless etc. (Rocking some Joan Jett/Joyce Dewitt realness, might I add.)
And Logan is...Logan. Dependable and geeky and cute.
There is also some stuff with Gustavo angering Belgians due to an unfortunate typo, and Katie and Bitters are betting on everything. All you really need to know is that Katie throws water balloons at Bitters, and he's happy about it.
I like it when episodes focus on them dealing with some aspect of fame, and this one did it well.
Questions to Ponder:
+ Do the guys actually play hockey in real life?
+ Do you own rocket skates?
+ Is it bad to care only about appearances? (Asking for a friend.)
+ What do you think Logan did when he was seven that has him so torn up?
+ Who knew the guys could read???
Now tell us what you thought! Did this episode make you LOL? Did it make you cry? Did you have some serious character analysis realization while watching it? Did you enjoy the Star Wars reference? We want to know.
Next week we will be discussing
Big Time Terror, and
phantompearl is writing the post. Make sure to watch in advance so you can tell us all your thoughts!
Wayne Wayne out out.
