Big Time Break

Each boy got his own storyline in this episode. The boys had the day off from recording and school --haha remember school?? JK they don't go to school anymore!-- and because they'd been spending too much time together, they each decided to do something alone. If this were real life one of them would've been off jerkin' it to internet porn. But, this is a kids' show, which is why no one jerked anything.

Kendall spent the day flirting with Jo, even though she said she had a boyfriend. Hey, buddy, you have pretty eyes and cute dimples, but I don't think you should be scammin' on someone's girl. But Jo's bf wasn't real, and she knew how to handle Kendall anyway. She kind of kicked his ass in the gym and then hired a guy to play her fake boyfriend, which Kendall totally saw through. Their interactions were pretty cute. Swoon alert!

I would've agreed to go on a date with him after that, too. All he really wanted was to be her boyfriend.

Carlos lost his helmet so he spent the day trying to find it with the help of his father, Ponch. Who knew Carlos had a father??? Whatevs, Carlos was really worried about that helmet.

Luckily they found it, and what a mystery it was!! Lightnight had it, as well as a ton of other personal belongings he stole from people at the Palmwoods. What a rascal.

Logan had some business with a math lecture to attend or something. But it was really just an excuse for him to dress up as a girl. Actually, this is when that trope was established for him. He certainly seems to be fond of it.

That speaker woman was a total sexist. Dial your feminism down a notch, kthnx.

The James and Camille storyline in this episode is sort of perfect. James and Erin both got to bring more depth and characterization to their parts, and we get some genuine moments of friendship between the two of them. They have a good dynamic. How cute/nice was it that James turned down the part so Camille wouldn't feel bad? And I thought he only cared about his looks. JK he also cares about pie! For real though, James' headshots are incredible. No wonder he got the part.

Questions to ponder:

+ Lightning is a badass y/y
+ Does Logan secretly want to be a drag queen?
+ Will Camille ever win any acting awards?
+ Is it weird to date someone who looks like you?
+ Should Witches of Rodeo Drive be a real show?

What did you think of this episode? Enjoy it? Despise it? Got a crush on it? Tell us!
