OOC: Appearance information

Appearance:
Another Note does not specifically describe B except that he is tall, thin, and has deepset but bulging eyes. He is a master at disguising himself and is known to wear heavy makeup. He is able to slouch severely without the posture becoming too uncomfortable, and of course regularly sits with his legs drawn up and his arms about the knees. Also, he seems capable of tilting his head to extremes and often does so when thinking. Characters may feel free to note that this and his general posture look painful.
My version is from English or general-European stock with black eyes, is freckled when he isn’t wearing makeup, and has hair a shade or two off of being jet black. In addition, although he is still technically a teenager, he is muscled and otherwise mature enough to pass as a private detective without a question about his age.
In other words he resembles L but is definitely not identical to him. If anything, it could be said he’s close enough to be L’s younger brother, and any case of mistaken identity will likely be caused by similar behavior. It won’t last long at all if the person he’s interacting with has actually met L in person; the freckles, amongst other things, are a dead giveaway.
In addition, B does not actually have red eyes. This is a common misconception due to the way Shinigami Eyes are portrayed in the anime and in fan works- for B, it is generally done to differentiate him from L and to make clear that he does in fact have this power. In fact, it is specifically said in the "rules" of Death Note (included in How to Read 13) that there is no way for another person to tell if someone has the Eyes or not.
