My how the Year has flown by!

Dec 16, 2010 23:00

Just under one year ago Devon and I packed up our belongings and took a 17 hour car trip, and never looked back. That trip has managed to save us. It saved us emotionally, mentally, and I think even physically.

March:Three months into living here both of us were employed and working on straightening out our finances.

June:Devon gets hired on by Coke and I open my own Massage Practice

September:A refreshing trip to Myrtle Beach, hotel paid for by Devon's work. Can't wait to go back

October: A local chiropractor took 3 weeks courting me to work in her practice. I said yes and started the first week in october. This move dumped tons of clients into my private practice.

November:Thanksgiving spent with my family in North Carolina.
The start of 3 weeks of being sick (which hasn't been resolved yet)
Went to a kink munch which has renewed mine and Devon's Kink Life Style

December: Still Not King. Wait, strike that, still sick. Apparently my liver isn't happy for an unknown reason. CT Scan shows my liver appears normal, so another set of blood tests next week to see if my liver enzymes are still 3 times what they are suppose to be.

December has also brought about a change in mine and Devon's Relationship. For the first time ever, we have gone from poly minded to having a polyamorous relationship. Devon works extended second shift. This means he works from 3 pm to any where between 1 am and 6 am. Unfortunately I go bat shit crazy when left alone for too long. Devon knows this, I know this. Long story short I began a downward spiral of depression.

Fast forward a couple of weeks (while at a local kink meet up) I meet a wonderful boy who makes me smile. He is geeky, into theatre, and flamboyant as hell. I am very lucky girl indeed. I'm not sure where things are going with us yet, but he makes me happy, and for right now that is a great goodness.

Things beginning with new boy (who needs a nick name) has made mine and Devon's relationship stronger. Devon and I are talking more, especially about things relating to our sexual life. We fell into a pattern for a while because of the after effects of my seizures, and never shook our selves out of it. In the last week alone we have discovered things about the other person we hadn't known before. Some how every year I manage to find my self loving the Man I married more then I ever thought I could possibly love someone.

Health: This year ends with Devon losing 40 lbs and me losing and keeping 15 lbs off. Devon is back on his meds and he is doing better then ever. In January I hope to start up working out again.

I believe for the first time in a long time, this year will end on a happy note for me. *knocks on wood*
