That sounds pretty good! I have a couple of fandoms I love that are about bodyguards, so I'm all for discovering another one. That final episode sounds especially exciting -- it's always interesting to see the characters in new surroundings, isn't it?

Thanks for the rec, I'll be sure to check it out!

Just posted my story! Have you started to watch already? How do you like it?
My story is about the third episode, so it might be best to watch it first to make sense. There's also mentioning of something that happens in episode 2 and involves Ian's own family.

I had watched the first two episodes and then in a comment read how someone loved the seventh, so I jumped straight ahead as I couldn't wait to see the countryside one. It also reminded me of a similar MacGyver episode that is set in the woods. It's indeed fascinating to see them in a bit of fish out of water way, even though they still act very professional.

I love especially the scene at the end when they think they are going to die. Any other series would have had the female bursting into tears and the "hero" comfort her, but here it is Worrell almost losing it. Sean is so good at playing emotions.

Please let me know how you like it!

Good job!

I'm afraid I haven't been able to check out the series yet -- RL has been a mess lately. I haven't even managed to write anything for the challenge myself :(

But it's still on my to-watch list, and I won't forget about it. I'm sure your fic can be a good intro!

The Kettering Incident is an Australian "mystery drama" show. Here's an edited excerpt from the wikipedia page. (The page has spoilers.)

"Dr. Anna Macy (Elizabeth Debicki) left Kettering when she was just fourteen, shortly after her best friend, Gillian Baxter, mysteriously disappeared. The two girls had been cycling through the forbidden forests outside Kettering when they saw strange lights in the sky. Eight hours later, Anna was found alone, terrified and covered in blood."

It's quite dark and twisty, and it gets weirder as it goes on. It has Reddit threads but I've never found any fanfiction. Apparently they are making a second series but I'd like to write a fic before that happens. It's available on Amazon Prime in the U.S., not sure about other places.

Treed Murray (2001) is a must-see for any David Hewlett fan, because you can't beat Rodney McKay up a tree. That's the plot of the movie - a businessman gets lost in the park, has an altercation with a gang of kids, and ends up climbing a tree to get away from them. Where it gets interesting is how he and the kids spend the night manipulating each other and airing everyone's dirty laundry as the kids try to get Murray out of said tree. It's a relatively shallow trek into the complexities of class and race relations, but it's worth a gander if you're a fan of Hewlett, Cle Bennett, Jessica Greco or Aaron Ashmore. Julian Richings also makes an appearance ( ... )

David Hewlett you say? That's definitely worth a watch. I must admit I haven't followed him too closely since Stargate (I loved "A Dog's Breakfast" though) but whenever I stumble about him on TV he plays yet another mad scientist in yet another sci-fi-horror movie and they look all the same. So this sounds like something different!

So, I'm primarily a Person of Interest fic writer. That interest has led me down a few side rabbit hole fandoms as I started working through some other works from the cast. As it happens, in addition to having the deepest filmography, Jim Caviezel has the most intriguing stable of characters.

The challenge fit very nicely into my want to explore one of his most recent: Governor of the Montana Territory, James Buckley Bierce, from the film, The Ballad of Lefty BrownThe film is a fairly tradition Western, with cowboys and gunfights. The on-screen story is a bit loose and there are lots of ways to slide into the canon. I'm having a lot of fun sorta' living in this frontier frame of mind ( ... )

Ooo, I love westerns, so I'll definitely be checking this out! It's awesome that you're having fun with your frontier mindset, I look forward to reading the resulting fic :)
