it's been a while...

Well, it's been a busy couple of weeks for me. First the March for Life trip to Washington, D.C. That was quite a bit of fun, but it was also (as usual) a rather sobering trip. As I suppose it should be.

I've been very busy with classes... I'm averaging around two books a week in terms of reading for the whole semester, and there are going to be a lot of papers due come exam weeks. The one relieving thing is that if I don't get an A in the graduate course, it doesn't go on my undergraduate record. So... much much reading in the weeks to come.

In other news, I successfully conquered Middle Earth today. A 10 hour LotR Risk game finally ended with a victory for me by points. The highlight of the game was a 30 minute, 15 territory campaign to knock Dave out of the game. A few other strategic flourishes were quite a bit of fun--as always, I enjoyed playing Risk, and I was left wondering if I maybe I'm supposed to be in the army. I spent at least a few minutes peering out of the window (from the 8th floor where Rich and Erik live), feeling like Napoleon. Yick :).

Well, I have to get up in 5 hours to get ready for Mass at the cathedral. Archbishop Burke is celebrating his first parish Mass at the cathedral, and we're gonna be there. Some of the other guys get to serve, which is really cool for them. I'll be quite content sitting with my Katy :).
