What's good about me...?
Hey there, minna-san, how are you? Good? I hope so...
Sorry about the upsetting entry the other day, but I really felt I had to get that feeling off my chest. Thanks to those of you who tried to help me, I really appreciate it.
I'm going to have to bother you and ask for your help again...
You see, I need to make a resume, but unfortunately, the last one I made was only one sheet of paper, and only 3/4s of the page was full. I could only write about my work experience at St. Kilian's Primary School and Network Ten (local TV station) and how far I completed my education (year 10 was the furthest I'd reached before I started backing away and pulled out of school).
I'm a shy individual, so I didn't get out into the community to join clubs or anything, closest I'd done to that was Library Club and Tournament of Minds in year seven, after that I either stuck with my group of friends or hid in the library until lunchtime had come to an end. Best achievements I can put on there would be the certificate I'd received for helping with the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal door knock (a friend of our adult friend Jenni was a captain of the Salvos, so Jason and I helped out with Jenni accompanying us).
What troubles me the most is when I have to write my skills and best traits. That's where I get stuck. They say everyone is their own critic and that it's easier to see the god things in others than it is to see it in oneself, so I always have trouble there. I find it hard to find what's so good about me, why someone should hire me for a job...
What skills do I have? What are my best traits? That's where I need help...can I ask you to tell me, whether you've met me in person or not, judging by what you think of me, what do you find are my best traits? I'm trying to focus on skills I use on a day-to-day basis that would be important enough to list (being good on a computer for example) and will add those. But, please tell me what do you find are my best personal traits? As I said, I can't see it myself, these are the kinds of things others would notice while to me it all seems natural.
