Just received a letter to say I am now on the waiting list to undergo elective surgery. I am definitely getting the Upper GI Endoscopy. At least I know I will be zonked out during...
The waiting list is category 2 - semi-urgent, so my wait could be up to 3 months. Two weeks before, I will receive a medical questionnaire in the mail, might also be scheduled for a pre-admission consultation. I'll then be sent appointment info and instructions on everything I need to do prior. In my case, the time I will need to fast.
Looks like a long wait, I hope after all this they find out what's causing the nausea!
As for the pains, if they really aren't connected, it will then be time to find the source for those too.
