Decided to make that entry anyway. So, here we go! To try to accommodate everyone on my f-list, I have put the collections with the most under cuts.
First, my Pokemon items!
Here I am in my Pikachu onesie. I'm wearing it now too. It's so nice and warm, and since nights are getting cold, it's a welcome warmth right now.
Here's a mix. You might recognise the figures standing at the bottom. Yep, they're my Beatles K'NEX figures. In order, they're Ringo, George, Paul and John. The Pokemon featured are Pikachu, Togepi, Bulbasaur and Marill. Humans: Ash, Misty, Brock and Tracey at the front. Officer Jenny, Nurse Joy and Professor Oak at the back. Before cleaning my room to fit in my new bed and mini cupboards, they sat on my dresser and acted as Dream Guardians.
This cutie is a more recent purchase. She's from the Cosplay Pikachu collection as seen in the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Pokemon games. I got Idol/Pop Star Pikachu and nicknamed her Chu-uta (from the chu in Pikachu and uta being the Japanese word for song). Harmony and Melody are already taken by my Jigglypuffs.
Next, some Hanna-Barbera goodies!
DVDs of two movies I watched over and over as a kid: Hey There, It's Yogi Bear and The Man Called Flintstone. Both are still just as great as I remember! Actually, remember my first broken arm? For those not in the know, I got a stupid idea to try floating with a parasol like a parachute (just from a kiddy chair, I wasn't about to climb on the roof to try) and I fell. I broke the chair, my parasol and my arm. My arm was in a bad shape with my elbow facing towards me when it shouldn't. Mum went into hysterics and Dad almost fainted when they saw it. Anyway, the scene that inspired that stupid idea of mine was from the first movie. Cindy did it jumping off a tree branch, and I was still too young to understand it was cartoon physics and therefore impossible.
You didn't think I'd stop at just plush of these four, did you? Here are rubber figures of Fleegle, Drooper, Bingo and Snorky aka The Banana Splits! Snorky's appearance is the wooly look he had for season one which makes me thrilled I have something of him in that appearance too. I do plan on getting the bobbleheads as well...why wouldn't I? They're the Banana Splits!!
Remember this 'Clementine' crooning canine? Here's Huckleberry Hound in plush form! I took the picture from the side because his nose hides his eyes if taken from the front. Super-happy to have this fellow as a cuddly plush! He's comfortably settled alongside my Banana Splits and Ringo plushies.
These plush of Boo Boo, Ranger Smith and Cindy are all from a set of Maxi Kinder Surprise toys alongside Yogi and Fibber Fox (from Yakky Doodle shorts). They're very soft. Ranger Smith does look a little funny, but Boo Boo and Cindy are adorable! Yogi's on his way so I'll be certain to get a photo of all of them once he does, as well as a cute couple shot of him and Cindy. They're settled among my Pokemon plush, though Cindy is closer to the Banana Splits.
This book is the 1977 Annual of Yogi's Gang. However, instead of having stories/comics like the series of that title (in which Yogi and many animal characters travel on a flying ark and find themselves dealing with the world's problems ranging from litter to bigotry), it has comics of Yogi Bear, Huckleberry Hound (Mr. Jinks, Pixie and Dixie appear in one), Quick Draw McGraw, Magilla Gorilla and Peter Potamus. Even though Snagglepuss is on the cover, he does not appear in the book. These comics appear to be taken from issues by Gold Key comics judging by the styles. Plus, it's very similar to my Banana Splits Annual (though that also has stories and activities aside from a couple of comics here and there). The comics are actually pretty good and I enjoyed all of them.
Some figure sets! They're mostly anime.
Bottlecap figures from Gensoumaden Saiyuki. Sanzo, Goku, Lirin, Hakuryu/Jiipu (Jeep), Gojyo and Hakkai. I also got bronzed figures of Gojyo and Sanzo in different attire and Ni Jenyi's bunny doll. Super-happy I could even get Lirin, she's my fave out of Kougaiji's group! And they even had Hakuryu in the set too!
Lots of figures here! Back row are mostly from Sailor Moon: Sailor Neptune, Sailor Uranus, Sailor Pluto, Sailor Saturn, Sailor Chibimoon and Sailor Moon. Sailor Chibimoon came with a Luna Ball, but it's so tiny I don't wanna risk losing it so I put it away. Beside Sailor Moon is a figure of Madeline with her dog Genevieve, it was released in a small boxset along with a tiny book of eight stickers for the 75th anniversary of the books. Front row are the boys from Kiniro no Corda/La Corda d'Oro: Tsukimori Len, Tsuchiura Ryoutarou, Kaji Aoi, Shimizu Keiichi, Hihara Kazuki, Yunoki Azuma, Ousaki Shinobu, Kanazawa Hiroto, Etou Kiriya and Kira Akihiko. That's the whole set. Sadly, Hino Kahoko, Fuyuumi Shouko, Amou Nami and Lili weren't released in figure form.
H.R. Pufnstuf DVDs!
Oh, you didn't know I liked this? I used to watch it on Nick at Nite when it was on! The first one is a three-disk boxset of the TV series, all 17 episodes! I've already marathoned them and enjoyed every second. But, trust me to mainly remember the episode in which we see poor Puf crying... The other is the Pufnstuf movie. The song Living Island from that film has been looped for a couple of days whenever I listen to music, and I often hum it walking around the house to get lunch or go to the toilet. The voice cast had a difference for the movie; Lennie Weinrib's roles were covered by Allan Melvin and Don Messick (Allan took on voicing Puf, and due to Puf's accent and how his original voice sounded, Allan's voice for him is very similar to Drooper).
Finally, a photo of DVDs, CDs and many plush!
First, the DVDs. The Banana Splits season one boxset, Karaoke in the Style of The Beatles, a couple of concert DVDs of the Fab Four, The Beatles: A Hard Day's Night, The Beatles: Help!, The Beatles: Magical Mystery Tour, The Beatles: Yellow Submarine, The Tomorrow Show With Tom Snyder (includes interviews with John Lennon (re-aired after his death), Paul McCartney, Linda McCartney and Wings, and Ringo Starr and Barbara Bach), Paul McCartney's Live Kisses (a mini live performance for friends and family of the songs from Kisses on the Bottom) that also has a book about the making of the CD, Muppets 7 movie boxset (includes The Muppet Movie, The Muppet Caper, A Muppet Christmas Carol, Muppet Treasure Island, Muppets Wizard of Oz, The Muppets and a special called Letters to Santa), The Muppets Take Manhattan, Muppets in Space, Muppets: Most Wanted.
The CDs are my Beatles CDs: With The Beatles, Rubber Soul, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Yellow Submarine, the Red Album (I also have the Blue one but still can't find it so now I am certain I accidentally sent that to Pa's with other stuff) and a Ringo CD called Photograph: The Best of Ringo Starr.
Finally, plush! This was taken a couple of months ago. Fleegle, Drooper, Snorky, Bingo, Ringo, Madeline, Shinomiya Natsuki, Kurusu Sho (those two are from Uta no Prince-sama...I know they look like they're kissing, that was intentional since I ship them) and a custom plush of Albert de Parmagnan (Albert the Fifth Musketeer). I have mostly Pokemon sitting on that dresser so I focused on the characters not from Pokemon for this shot.
More photos coming soon once more items arrive! Those figures should be here Monday...
