This May Be Why the Economy Is In the Toilet
Was researching gift card sales on eBay and found this completed auction for a $100 Visa gift card.
Yes, not only did the buyer bid $105 on a $100 gift card, but this person was the fourth one to bid $100 or more.
Um. Huh? I can only hope they're paying for it with another Visa gift card that they got for less than face value.
Edit: I also see several Buy It Now listings where people paid two or three dollars less than the value of the gift cards -- and then pay $5 shipping. I know there must be an explanation for this, but I don't know what it is.
