I spent last week in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. It was lots of fun. Sand, sea, pool, family, sunshine, seafood, etc. I just loved getting my toes in the sand again...
This is where we stayed. Our condo was on the fourth floor.
The fourth floor gives you a great view!
This house across from us was for sale. 8 bedrooms, 8 baths, $9 million:
This is the front of Gulf Place. Along with several condo buildings there are a few shops and restaurants.
We did see some damage from Hurricane Dennis - some homes were still borded up.
Plenty of houses were hanging over the edge of the dunes because of erosion.
Some people were piling sand up under the houses to keep them from falling down.
Notice the house on the far right of this photo. The two story wall you can see fell off toward the end of the week.
People used whatever means they could to get down to the beach. This house used a ladder.
We had to "scamper" down this pile of sand for the first few days.
On Wednesday they got one of the Gulf Place walkovers done and we used that.
Even with the damage, the beach was still beautiful. I took this photo one morning as the sun was rising.
The water was very clear and green/blue.
The water was so clear my brother and I snorkeled and found lots of cool shells.
That's all for now...can't wait until next year!!!
